Since Interlude I am finding it extremely hard to train the mobs properly so I can use my pole. I can't handle more than 1 room now and 50% of the time the train surrounds me so I can't hit all the mobs.
What gives? Is there a new technique, do I need wide blow now? The mobs seem to surround you instead of piling up in front of you.........
Are you a Warlord/Destro/Dwarf? If not it is ALOT more difficult. If you are then you need to find a better corner. I can still pull 16-20 mobs and have then all be hit, if I get in a decent corner. They announced the change that mobs wil behave differently when grouped like that. I think it is a change for the better.
I can pull two full large rooms in a catacomb without any problems. You just can't rely on a psuedo-corner any more. Get your nose stuck in an actual corner, and you'll be fine.
Mobs now then to "wiggle" from a left point to a right point and back again when chasing someone. Now the mob will never stop midpoint. It will always go from point A to point B with a set distance. This sucks for polers but a boon for daggers. If you're a dagger and need to backstab the mob then just move a little bit. The monster will always travel a set distance. Once you get this timing right you can backstab the mob as it travels from point A to point B.
I am not sure what you consider to be a corner...but corners used to work and now they dont. I have the best results if i pull them in a straight line against a flat wall. Corners (perhaps they are suedo corners as the actual corner is blocked by a pillar) do not work at all for me.
Really if you have pole mastery you should have no problem at all with train.
Any corner is good, even some wall is.
I still pull 3 big romms (+1 little) in cata between pillar and that work real fine.
Even pulling 30+ mobs in other place like FoG or Pagan and it s easy (with no SA on weapon)
Well, I have gotten a lot better. I jam myself in a corner instead of slithering down a wall. I am getting pretty efficient. It is a bit more tricky than it used to be but still manageable.
