Buff Pets

ok..so..i havent lvled my buff cow in a while..i was curious if there was still any point to lvling them...if they get "buffs" or just progressivly beter heals

What class is your buff pet? What class are you? What lvl is your buff pet? What lvl are you?

i mean a literal buff cow...i have the babay buffalo..not a second account 'buff slave"

and i lvl it with severa; dif toons...right now its on my 47 sorc

All the baby pets do is heal. I don't think the heals get that much better at high levels either..

The ones that buff you have to lure with food at the beast farm and they are only temporary.

All the baby pets do is heal. While it would be nice if they recharged to. seeing as how a necro or spellhowler can use body to mind to turn a baby pet heal into mp, they don't.
At level 80, my baby cougar heals for somewhere between 87 to 92 (not sure, it's been a while since I used it) on a normal heal, and almost quadruple when I have no hp left. As far as I can tell, the little heal is so efficient, the level 80 pets can cast them continuously, so the healing ability is useful even if it is only dispensed in small packages. The only real downside to the pets is that even at level 80 with 100% exp bar, they still steal 10% experience and die if a mob so much as looks at them, even with the armor you can now buy.

I just wish the baby dragons could level up the same way as the other baby pets. As a mage, I was never able to level on because I can't tank for the pet, and the pet can't tank for itself. Also I needed to kill the mob quickly so I wouldn't die, but the baby dragon barely had time to scratch the mob. The orginial baby dragons actually did use the same leveling system as the summoners summons and the new baby pets.

The Hatchling and Wolfs had 2 always fight for xp they were never like the baby pets. In fact in beta before they fix it in c1 you could use a dot on a mob then let the pet get the kill hit and it got 100% of the xp got my wolf 3 lvl 25 that way back in beta. Last week of beta he was pked so many times that he was lvl 17 by retail but I had a blast killing the pkers. I then put my wolf up till I made Mivida in C3 my wc and lvl my wolf up till it's today lvl 70.
