I would like to introduce Alyra as the new community manager for Lineage II. Please do your best to welcome her as a new member of the community and be nice to her as she settles into the new job. I'll be watching...
Hi everyone! Sorry to keep you waiting! I've been stuffing my little noggin full to the brim with new info since my first day yesterday, and haven't had a chance to give you proper hello until now. I'm so happy to be here and can't wait to get to know all of you! Thanks so much for the warm welcome! ^^
Welcome Alyra.
Hope you will like your stay, really hope that you will make a post in the near future telling ous llitle about you.
As it would be nice to know ;)
Hi Leonidar! I'll be posting a little more about myself as soon as I'm able. ^^ I'm still trying to get settled in here (I moved all the way from the Northwest to good old Texas to be here with you all and the NCSoft Team), but I'm definitely very excited to be a part of this community and eager to get to know everyone.
what position do u get upped to be a community manager? just curious.
The other obvious question being, have you even played L2 before? :P (God I hope so!)
how the [censored] does playing l2 tell me NCNA's position hierarchy? is there a noobie quest that makes me memorize how many producers they have? i started playing l2 yesterday so im clueless.
Just remember that as community manager, you will be the target for all the complaints and flames about stuff you are not responsible for yourself - so better stock up on Aspirin ;)
Thanks again, all! (And I'll be sure to keep that forum pepper spray in mind. ;))
To answer the two questions a few others have asked, I am a new addition to the NCSoft family, but I've worked in the video game industry for around 8 years and have been playing MMOs even longer (I started out with Ultima Online, in fact). And yes, I have played Lineage II, and plan to continue playing, learning, and growing right along with you all. I firmly believe that the best way I can be involved with the community here is to be a part of it, both as a player and a community manager.
I'm particularly fond of healer- and rogue-type classes. ^^

HOLY CRAP. You gave up the NW for TEXAS? You must be crazy. Just out of curiosity, what part of the NW?
Welcome Alyra. Good to have you here. You will find the form folks are well behaved, well.. mostly.. well.. often.. err.. okay, okay, sometimes they behave themselves!
Welcome! I was a bit taken back when you said you were getting up to date "with new info since my first day yesterday". Then you said you'd already played L2 and intend to continue. I thought for a moment NC had hired in someone who never played Lineage II. Luckily for everyone you're a vet - good luck in your new role and I look forward to your tro.... I mean posting on the forums!
As many have already stated, it's going to be on heck of a big job to keep us in check ;) Ellie's spray is very effective and if things really get ugly here's a whip *hands whip with grin*
Anyways, All the best of luck and enjoyment from the WolfSpirit Team ;)
Welcome to the family. You might want to stock up on extra patience with the Gustin folk. We tend to have competitions for the golden padlocks. I think when 2 or of 3 past CW's have commented on our.... ummm.. behaviors when leaving it's safe to say we leave a lasting impression.
Don't mind the loud noises, when they get unruly just thwack 'em with a rolled up newspaper.
I started out with Ultima Online, in fact
Ooo, old school. Yeah, my little brother played that for years as well. I've never played it myself, but I was always impressed with the sheer number of things you could actually do in the game.
So what's your favorite Lineage 2 monster? :D
Well then a new CM, oke...
Being of a practical nature I will say this:
"Ik kijk eerst ff de kat uit de boom als je het niet erg vindt."
That's dutch for saying: Let's see how far this goes.
Giving the benefit of the doubt I will say "welcome" for now thought. Still you will have a handful keeping us in check but you will find that out yourself.
(Checking the library more often now for new additional information. Well, unless that is not part of the job.)
Oddness: Both the CM's (Mistryl and you) are/were healer class.....
I'm particularly fond of healer- and rogue-type classes. ^^
Oh yeah a player much unlike my self very nice.
I knwo you can't state the class that you play or your chr name or even server. But can you atlest clarify what type of rouge you like, is it Archer or is it dagger? Cause I think they are both good class types, and they deserve their just rewords.
Awww, why are you disappointed? Those are just the types of characters I generally like to play. I like many other classes and races as well--those two are just my favorites and what I typically gravitate toward (especially healers).
Healer in PVP, otherwise buffer for clan/ally only. Tyrant is pure melee fighter class, Orc version of Gladi so to speak. Nothing like archer or dagger so yeah, it is FAR from rogue classes.
have to walk outside in boots...which you have to check for scorpions before putting them on......wayyy too hot ^^
VT > TX
actually
Anything > TX
Just wait until August... she will be punching herself in the face because of the heat. Just a FYI, the shade is actually hotter than being under the sun.
I had been on bit of a downer about L2's future recently due to what appears to be vastly reduced numbers of players logging in and a perceived lack of interest from NCNA shown on these boards (no NA reps on for days on end).
Although the player numbers are still down, at least we have a new CM and some events so I'm cheered by this. A very warm welcome and I apologise in advance for my sarcasm that will no doubt show itself in due course. :p

A very warm welcome to the forums.
Hopefully it won't be too daunting a task and that you'll enjoy answering our questions, however dumb they might be.
Good luck !
Thanks again for the warm welcome, warnings, and laughs thus far everyone. And thanks ahead of time for your patience while I get the hang of everything! ^^
You should prepare yourself in advance and code in a function so you can activate Omega's GM_UD whenever he goes kamikaze in AL as an elpy. Or remove his GM_UD when he decides to pk everyone with the chaotic weapons ^^
More interaction between the NCSoft Head staff and the forum community = friendlier relationships...
Hopefully we see everyone around on the PTS server occasionally as well.
As soon as I learn how to do all that snazzy GM stuff (commands and such) on the PTS, you bet. ;)
I wish NCsoft would allow employment of GMs from outside the headquarters, I have more fun helping out others and enriching the game then playing it as it was intended...
Like bringing some interesting fights the collisium and then awarding the winner with well whatever, nothing overpowering or something.
Or bringing apon unannouced mini events, spawning a random mob loaded with XP/SP or perhaps adena outside populated areas. Perhaps server annoucement to which the first one to find "myself" in an area get a free lvl... i don't know lol...
I'm sure i'm creative enough to be one to keep people more then well interested.
The event mobs, the FIRST ones where they spawned outside, that was by far the most interesting events as everyone reguardless of clan (aside from 1 or 2 people that tend try and cause problems) would work together to kill these things.
No seriously, a more Present and physically visual GM walking amongst the players, from newbie towns to the firedragons area. Perhaps joining the occasional Clans Raid or perhaps a small party to do a few buffs or perhaps even tank. Something fairly small and not time consuming but still soemthing that would be discussed around the world of aden and elmore and among the top leaders. Obviously trying to prevent the possiblity of showing fravoritism, so basing it completely on the right place at the right time senarios. But keeping it rare enough to be interesting and random enough.
I'm fairly confident that i'm not alone on this thought, i'm sure some of the ncsoft employees, even near top or TOP HGMs would agree this would ADD to the game.
a well, we'll see how things go. Hope you enjoy your new post and get settled in very well. And the commands aren't all that difficult once you get the hang of them and how they work ;)
I deleted the post above this one, and the one following it.
Please don't post anything that reveals my full real name or personal e-mail. I have my reasons, all of which are quite personal and not something I want to get into publicly. I will ban anyone who does it.
Well technically i don't think there is a limit at all for enchants, i mean there is a limit, but 6000 is definitely not it, most likely a value of 65360 may be the enchant limit if they work off a 16bit numerical code for enchantments ranging in value from 0 to 65360... could a negative enchantment would be interesting to add to the game, A mob being able to disenchant your weapon while fighting it, a passive debuff of sorts.
