i ahve been haveing problems with the alternative great codran seed..all the others i ahve tryed have worked just fine...but for some reason i cant seem to get it to work on the mobs down in witches...any ideas?
Last time I checked, the average success rate on all "Alternative" seeds was ~10%.
The only major difference between normal and alternative seeds is Alt seeds is they do not 'block drops'. But given the average drop rate of *anything* in this game, the return on normal blocking seeds versus drops using alt seeds is a no brainer. (For normal seeds.)
If drops were more worthwhile and the seed to fruit cost/reward ratio was better alt seeds could be useful...as it is the ability to use them freely in groups on multi hp mobs (where they are most useful) is less worthwhile than just using the normal seeds on 1x mobs elsewhere.
At least given the usual seed/cost and fruit/reward values set by castle lords I've ever seen on my server.
while were on the topic of seeding...can i get seeds for lvl 44-50ish mobs and use my 61 ws to seed those mobs? im not going for xp just mats for crafting...but does the rate drop of the mob isnt close to ur lvl?
If you are not within 5 levels of the mob you are seeding you begin to lose 5% chance to seed per level of the mob difference. So if you were lvl 61 and the mobs were 44 then and 5 levels-----49 and now the difference in levels is 12----- 12 X 5% = 60% failure rate.

Most likely not. (The L50 seeds could still be usable, but below is likely to fail too much.) You could try, but keep in mind:
You are penalized on harvesting if mobs are lower than green.
Seeding has a penalty if the mob is under/over the seed level. (Although you get a bonus if the mob XP is higher than normal.)
In general though, Don't bother seeding below green. (One level of blue is do-able for some seeds, but you will start to fail. Deep blue is worthless, you will fail to sow far too much.)
Seeding mobs above the seed level range is MUCH easier than seeding below, but there is a point of diminishing returns where the extra fruit does not match the sowing failures.
Seed Level ~ Mob Level should be close or slightly above.
Your Level = Green or better mobs.
This means Your Level does not have to be in seed level range as much as the mobs you are fighting need to be in seed level range.
