tats on a destro can go either way. some do + con for max hp, others + str for damage. me? I went + dex (and the +2 str from tallum) for max attack speed for frenzy reuse. even at -8/9 con a destroyer still has lots of HP, so I'd advise going for as much damage as you feel comfortable (start w/ + str then if you want to add the dex tats after you have a bit more base hp, go for it)
edit: a trick for poling (if your the one getting the mobs) get a cheap health weapon (type/grade doesnt matter) and when have that equipped when you go get the mobs then return and (ideally) use the cursed dagger for frenzy/guts use, kill all mobs and repeat.
I went +3 DEX -3 CON. Eventually I am going to get a +3 STR -3 CON tattoo. Then aiming for Tallum heavy in A grade. I plan on getting a dragon slayer with health and augmenting some critical on it so that I can have more HP in pvp situations, but also benefit from critical in pve.
I wouldn't recommend going +CON setup until you are super high level and you will be doing very little leveling and lots of PvP.
This is just my opinion. I am a destroyer noob really...and have only pvped on it a little. But to me it makes sense...
+STR is a must for PvE - since you probably won't be PvPing notably on Kama for a long while, consider this something you pretty much have to do. Remember that +DEX has no notable impact on the frequency on your crits, it is only ever worth it for accuracy, runspeed, skill reset times and, for other classes but certainly not for destroyers, evasion.
Regardless, +DEX is a good choice - just not before you have +STR.
I used +4 STR/-4 CON with random armor and orcish poleaxe to get to 52. Switched to BW Heavy with Lance to get to 61. Switched to Tallum Heavy with Halberd. When I go back to playing Destroyer I'll put +5 DEX/-5 CON.
This is probably not a very good PvP setup but it works OK and is the best setup for PvE. Right now I just want to get to 75 as fast as possible.
BTW, if you have access to VR buff then don't waste any money on C grade armor. Just get random stuff, get +4 STR, and get Orcish Poleaxe (no SA needed) at the highest enchant you can get. Once you get to 52 BW Heavy is the best and can be used in lieu of A grade armor if you can't afford the Tallum Heavy.
If you don't have VR then you will need to use GHP and elixirs and will absolutely want a 2H focus sword or 2H health blunt. This setup is the best seeding setup anyway, so you can make excellent adena in the catacombs, easily enough to pay for the HP elixirs and GHP. The AA you earn will allow you to always use Haste2 potions. You can also, by activating with cursed dagger: risk haste, keep either Frenzy or Guts up almost all the time with Rage.
