Does using spoil on a mob cancel or decrease the drop rates of normal non spoil drops? looking for proof if it does... and by how much.
no it doesnt, and you still get quest items, and can even seed mobs, but it makes your mp go down faster :p

hehe good to know bc back when i was playing beta/ prelude no one wanted a spoiler in party bc they thought it decreased drop rates... just making sure...
Lots of myths have been proven wrong over the years, like spoils affecting drops, light elf classes being of any use and overlords becoming ubber once they're fully leveled.
since this topic is already here, i was wondering if the landrate of spoil was affected by any stat ( if it is i'd assume STR maybe? )
Spoil is affected only by the level of the spoil skill (I.E. at what lvl you learn it) compared to the level of the mob.

and later, any enchantments that are put on the skill.

There are also rumours about this (I know some dwarves who swear spoil land rate is affected by patk - and indeed it seems that our clannie maestro with his +11 A grade weapon lands his lvl 1 spoil A LOT on lvl 80 mobs, seemingly even more than a 6x BH for whom the mobs are deep red), but I have never seen any solid proof besides "hmm, could be, but maybe it's just a fluke".
I think player level vs mob level plays a role as well.

yeah... like ally invincibility isnt useful...

It's true that WS can spoil Dark Red mobs - pretty much only Dark Red Mobs, with Spoil lvl 1, i know lotsa ppl, me included that do that. But the Activate Rate is Low on Dark Red mobs, but the ones that do Activate usually "Smurf", go blue. This gives a false impression of it working more than the BH's, which Acivate alot and "Smurf" realitivly less.

This is true, I can clarify this a tiny bit more.

Last spoil you learn is after all at lv 72 this is a so called lv '72' spoil and works somewhat good up to 5 lv's higher.
When you enchant it it become 76 at +1 at once, and +10 it become 85, HOWEVER if you ever enchant it to +11 it become lv 76 again, so just a tiny warning for those who want to go past 10.
