can you duel weild daggers???

i was wondering if u can take 2 daggers to a blacksmith and get them to be duel weilded

You can, but it's pointless for the most part.
You can only dual wield swords.

so i u mostly range for melee u should fight with 2 swords or a dagger. lie if u r whereing light armor and rangeing should your melee weapon be a dagger, 2 swords, or a sword and a shield?

I was talking about dagger classes when I said that you wouldn't want to use a shield. Shields reduces your evasion (by 12 yeah?) which is one of dagger classes strong points. Non evasion classes can use shields no problem, if they opt for one handed weapons.
Dagger classes could use a shield when they're up against nukers, now that shields can also block magic. But I don't know how well it blocks, especially if you don't have shield masteries.
For weapons, you should normally go after what weapon mastieries you have, at least when it comes to main weapon.

What class is it you're interested in?

Using a dagger and a shield depends on your class. If your a dagger class (TH,PW,AW) I would say no, since evasion is one of your strong points. A shield drops evasion by 8 so it is pointless (might be an option though for <40 level). If you are an orc mage (OL or WC) I 'd say that shield and dagger are pretty much standard gear, specially above your mid 50's.

From 1-40 smart people do.

On higher levels... some daggers wear heavy sets + shields. It works out well if you care little for evasion.... in favor of good ol fashion defense.

well if im planning to be an elvin scout and mainlyy range wut melee wep should i use a dagger , 2 swords, sword and sheild or dagger and shield

Shield, why not, and use heavy as well at least until C-grade where Plated leather rules all.

I thought the shield lowered evasion by 8, not 12. Did I have that wrong?

It's -8, I just checked. Don't know where -12 came from.

I think the reason this question is being asked is because on my assassin all but one move says they can be used with dagger, duel daggers, sword, duel swords.
I strongly believe that in any game an assassin type class should be allowed to duel weild daggers. I believe that you get duel mastery too as a passive skill, but im not sure on that part, I cant see all my passives atm cuz of maintanence. However I would like to know why they say duel daggers can be used if duel daggers dont exist.

u can use dual daggers at 81
