Quest Jovial Accordian .. is it working ...

Trying to do this Jovial Accordian quest ..but keep getting "the key is broken" when trying to open the Beer Chest ....is this quest broken or is it luck based ? Any help /advice appreciated :)

the guide we have on it doesn't mention anything of the sort, I'll try to run through it and see what happens.

I got the same thing, must be a bug. The keys the npc gives you vanish, but it says the key is broken so the chest doesn't open. I tried a key of thief but that didn't work either. :/

Yup I tried it twice ages ago (by dropping the quest and restarting cos I thought I musta messed up somehow) and got the same thing.

Sometimes it breaks and other times it doesnt, been like this for as long as i can remeber

I tried going back to the original NPCs and they tell me to get bent, so do you have to cancel the whole quest and start over?

Yep Dosent happen all the time, i did it 4 times in a row recently with no problems. Then 5th,6th,7th time it screwed up.

Took me 4 tries to not break the key. Geez :/

ok so there's two chances to mess up, but to continue the quest just talk to the NPC your suppose to bring it to, if you mess up both items, he doesnt play the duet, if you bring one, he plays it so you get the music score, but you dont get the 100a (uh oh o.O) and if you get both, you get the adena and music score :p

If there was another way to fail I'm afraid I didn't document it, doing the quest 4x was more than enough for me XD

I miss the older Feast Theme echo crystal, before they changed the song. Now that was a jovial accordion.

Another extremely useful quest in the L2 world. We need moooore music scores.

At least it involves no porting at all, that's gotta be a first. And no mob killing.
