Hi Alyra.
Is the Fansite list your domain ?
I have created a forum for members to promote their game trades etc.
The forum has reached over 70 members.
There are no ads, popups or anything untoward. All trades are for genuine in-game items following game rules.
I have applied for a fansite listing some time ago and wondered if it was still pending.
The site is www.lineage2marketplace.com (http://www.lineage2marketplace.com)
Feel free to browse the site to see that it is all above board.
You'll have to join to see individual server sections :P
Thanks for your time.
Yes, they are! I'll add checking into what we do regarding fan sites to my to-do list for when I get in to work tomorrow. Thank you, and the forum looks great!
Thanks for the positive comments.
I tried to base it on this place to maintain a genuine feel.
My idea was to try and get all the trades into seperate server groups and help tidy up some of the boards here that have trades mixed in with general server discussion.
What I would really like (being very cheeky) is permission to promote my site in game saying its officially recognised or approved :P I'll understand if I can't. I feel like some crud adena selling site when I shout in game atm.
I sent you a PM regarding what I need you to do to submit your fan site for approval. Promoting your site in-game is a little tricky. Technically it goes against the EULA, but we aren't really too concerned about a fan site being promoted (that rule is primarily there to combat spamming, Adena sellers, and Adena/account selling sites). Maybe you could shout an advertisement that doesn't contain the URL, and offer it privately to anyone who PMs you back expressing interest in it.
nice site. a tip btw make it so that one can look at the forum even if you are not registred, think that will help it grow.
Originally it was open so people could see the server sections. But then I thought people can look, find something and then contact the trader in game and wouldn't need to join the forum.
I've gained another 20 members since the change but that might be coincidence.

Thanks Alyra, I got the PM and will respond tomorrow night. I'm off to bed now as I'm working all day tomorrow >.<

I might have a way around that.....I'll talk to you more about that.
No worries, Fierybint! You can get back to me whenever you have time. And goodnight. ^^
I got your PM Splatter, and I think I see where you're going with this. :) It seems like a good idea. Shoot me the details and I'll check into what we can do.
I've had a look at your site and one comment I would make is that you need to configure the board a bit better.
I have a 24" widescreen monitor (1920x1200 resolution) and your forum takes up about the middle third of my screen leaving it looking squashed and difficult to read. Is there not something you can do to set the table width to a percantage of the display? That way it will grow /shrink according to the user's display width.

That was the original style set up. I changed it to a set width so it would look the same on all screens. The highest res I allowed for was 1600x ????.
I'm not sure how it would look if I set it back to a % format. Do other forums stretch effectively without looking way too wide with little content ?
Its hard to know what average to cater for.
However, its an intresting idea that maybe some javascript could detect a 24" monitor and display accordingly.
Out of interest, how does L2 show on your monitor. Is it in the correct proportions or does the horizontal stretch like an ill adjusted widescreen telly showing 4:3 on a 16:9 ?

Not at all....
I have a 22" widescreen myself. And the board could expand a bit as well for me. I think setting the board to display as a % percent instead of a fixed rate is the best route.....
My feeling is displaying as a percent is the best way to adapt to all resolution sizes
ok, now i remember, it didnt send my activation code to my email. i just tried again, same problem.
Do you use BT ?
What is your ISP domain name. For some reason the activation emails are blocked by a couple of providers.
Do you have another email address you could use like google maybe ?

Can you have a look at it now please ?
Is it any better ?
