A bunch of us Vaulters were wandering around and just happened to find Alyra, cornered by Cantoscav (our staff lady killer).
We managed to save her by beating him off with sticks, and as a gesture of thanks, she graciously allowed us to interview her. Check out the answers to all our questions (and don't forget we managed to snap a picture!) here:
I fell through the cracks of that interview into the molten awesome sauce beneath it. Seriously. Worked for Nintendo, loves old school console RPG's? (Secret of Mana, anyone?) How come the one convention you guys won't be attending is the one right in your own backyard? :D I think the last time I saw the Lineage 2 team at Wizard World Texas was 2004.
Maybe the fun of a convetion is the roadtrip that comes with it? What's the point if it's within walking distance? :)
Great to have you onboard Alyra, and from what I read in the interview, I think your joining the L2 team will be a great thing.
Oh, and if NCsoft is looking someone for help with world domination, I can submit my resumé as an Overlord :) 1 more level before I can officially call myself a Dominator though. But after that, watch out world!
Or maybe it's like parents: Sure they listen to what you say, but that doesn't matter anything will happen about it. That one's definitely overly optimistic though.

Cute?? Im gonna have to agree with jkoster and put her in the hottie category. She already gets two thumbs up from me; one for that and the second for moving to Texas. Next time I'm in Austin, lunch/dinner on me!! (I'm assuming that's where the move took ya, if not, you're on your own for the meal) ;)
Naysayers beware. If she is committed and does half of what she says, L2 will have some of its needed improvements. Keep in mind though, ya can't please everyone all the time. Some things just won't happen at all while others will take some time. We gotta accept that fact and be happy with what we do have.
Ncsoft has their hands tied on what they can do so simply no they dont listen to the community because they are giving us a game based on what the Korean community wants and dont tailor it for us.
Who cares? I don't !
I care about results more then some-ones appearance.
Until I see results I will not applaud for anyone.
Guess I am different this way.

They dont listen to the community look at this pathetic even they put in.
They havnt listened to us since c2.
I don't know about you, Ferst, but I've brought suggestions and comments to past CMs and they've always listened. They might not have implemented the idea, but they've at least heard it out.
In the past I have been told "That's a good idea, but..." which shows they are listening.
We must remember that Lineage 2's designers, the ones that decide what goes in and what happens, are the ones that ultimately call the shots.
I, for one, am glad they don't implement every single suggestion from the NA market. Otherwise we'd have a broken game, as everyone wants THEIR character to be better than everyone else, even if they are the same class.
In closing: yes, they listen. They might not act on it, but they listen. Try being polite and *gasp* constructive next time.

BRAVO!! Very well put. Some people just don't get it though. I think it's because this is the "Me Generation". I want it, I want it all, and I want it now. You can get yours later as long as it doesn't interfere with me getting mine.

May I suggest you lighten up just a bit? That is just guy talk. I seriously hope you don't think that we believe she will do a good job just because we commented on her good looks. I agree that results are what is needed but it sure doesn't hurt to throw in a compliment or a comment to lighten the mood. Life is stressful enough without getting so wrapped up in what you want in this game that you can't be nice to people and have a good word to say.

Look at it this way:
Say I am off to a destination. Now since I have no license to drive I will have to call a cab to get to wherever I need to go. Cabby pulls up and I step in. We get there without trouble and the cabby gets a tip. A royal tip if the ride was a pleasant one.
Same goes for CM's in general for me.
Within Lineage2 I am on the route towards what I have set as a goal. The CM gets me there through information / explanations about facts concerning the aspects of the game. If this done in a good way the "tip" a CM gets will be a pleasant compliment.
Now the reason I am indifferent about the "hottie"-factor is basically that beauty in the eyes of the beholder. So beauty can be a great many things.
Any CM that can get this website up to speed (example here) will be a hottie in my eyes no matter what kind of appearance that CM may have.
Cant say ive ever seen anything suggested thats been thought on and used. Ive even offered my services to make "real Events".
I mean HELL, make a event where players implement their ideas for events, and choose the best one, give that person a prize and do that event (as long as its feasible).
That right there is one ive told them about, ive run my own player run scavenger hunt events in the past, 20+ turn out very successful, had alot of fun using in game lore as questions at each stage.
Mistryl was the one on the boards who i ever got a reply from and tbh they wernt very productive were more like "yes i got your msg thx"

Let's take your cabby analogy just a little bit further and tie it into this CM discussion:
Same cabby, same trip -- after stepping into the cab he tells you he is going to get you to your destination but he knows a shortcut through the seedy part of town known for carjackings, muggings, drug dealers on every corner, etc..., then to cut of a bit of time he is going to drive through the cemetary cuz that will save at least two minutes -- Probably not going to be a pleasant trip and you would most likely protest immediately.
On the other hand, he tells you he is going to save you time and distance, which in turn saves you cost, by taking the freeway instead of going downtown, and then the road past the golf course which is very scenic and pleasant all the way to your destination....you get the idea so far?
You still don't tip cabby #2 until the end of the ride, but surely it's not out of the question to let him know that it sounds like a good plan and you approve.
The same goes for Alyra. Although nothing has been changed or accomplished yet, she certainly has done her homework and has a plan to at least get started and make our journey a more pleasant one. So save the tip/compliment but at least say you approve of the planned journey.
