This event lasts several days. You get the event drops wherever you go, you cannot avoid them. The potions are quite heavy, which is a real problem for people who cannot carry enough SS anyway. The novelty of changing your hairstyle etc. fades after one full buff round of it. After that it is just annoying having to open the inventory and destroy the event drops every few minutes (especially since the items take up LOTS of inv spots). Yes, destroy. Nobody will buy them since there are so many of them (and you could buy them from NPC anyway already for years), so they are just pointless drops
There should be an interface option "pick up event items yes/no", and the event items should disappear after a minute or so of not being picked up, just like herbs.
I won't complain too much, since it's at least something, and maybe the next event will have some interesting rewards, or maybe they learn from this one and put in "gender change/race change" pots in the next event like this. But let's be honest: the rewards from this event suck. There's only so many times you want to change your hairstyle until you have found the one you like, and from then on the pots become utterly useless.
Its a fun event, not a get rich quick Event. Guess ud prefer a NPC u click for 50,000,000 Adena? Least bots wont profit from it either :)
Well I would agree with you, that people tend to get upset when they can't make a hefty profit off an event.
But if its not gonna be profitable (which is absolutley fine in my book) it should be interesting, or fun, or a change of pace. For this event you hunt the same old mobs, you get drops that are readily available from NPCs for cheap, Thier effects are not amusing (certainly not after a buff round or so), and they clog up your invo and put you overweigh. Only a true L2 masochist could see this as fun or an amusing change in the routine.
It's not that bad. I mean, I don't get anything from it. I fish a lot so the "Big head" is very, very old. And I do not want to change ANYTHING on my character. But it's still something new, and to some people, fun. Emphasis on "New".
I have an idea for the next event. It should drop musical themes, so we can all listen to music while we grind.

Let me give u one, the next BIG event: The Farewell Event: if you deactivate Lineage2 account, NCsoft will give u a FULL set of S grade gears + a set of boss jewel
quaff a mystery potion from the dawn priest, does the same thing as one of the potions...want to see the results of the rest just go to character create screen and scroll through the different variants of your toon.
Oh good heavens...no one is forcing you to pick up the potions if you don't want to! If you enjoy the stuff, pick it up and play with it. If you don't, leave it on the ground.
But complain about it? Please NO! You get something for nothing, you don't get harmed by the event, some people like it, and complainers look immature.

I'm saving mine so I can drop 1 of each item where our nameless friends xp 24/7. Sooner or later the inventory on the pickup toon will get full and maybe I'll be rewarded with a full drop that they could no longer pickup.

Ok, so you hunt and everytime somethng drops stand there and work out wether to pick it up or not........
Seriously, you can't chose what to pick up when you hit the pickup key and this junk fills your inventoy and makes you heavy. I already can barely carry less than 63/80 items due to having 2 subs and a ton of quest items I need, now I get this junk to delete when I can't change subclass or do a quest because inventory is over 63/80....
Well this wouldnt be so bad if it was fireworks or theme crystals at least they arent easily buyable :(
Why not polymorphic pots that would be fun change into random mobs for 10 minutes they had them in L1.
Also lame that COH/COV gets ANOTHER double xp weekend and we get this, where leveling is a lot easier in COH/COV double xp here might get people jumping over each other to actually grind this weekend also would up pvp for the weekend because you gain the lost xp back 2x as quick.

Like hair/face style oils stack. But it's possible to have A, B, C, D, E, F, G (I think it stops there) hairstyles. All A's stack, all B's stack, so on and so forth. But since the pots are listed generically as Chameleon oils, or what have you, it is likely you will have multiple stacks of these oils in your inventory. Now add to that the fact that you can also have A, B , C, D, E mask/face styles + A, B, C, D, E hair color oils....see where I'm going with this?

Who needs s pick-up button? My mouse works just fine for avoiding the oils.
It's a time delay, no matter how you look at it. You can use your mouse rather than spam pick up, but that pointing and clicking each drop is time consuming. Spamming pick up and then throwing away or deleting the items is time consuming too, especially when you have to enter the quantity of items that you'd like to discard.
L2 players are probably the only MMOers that could be given a tenth of a glass of dirty water. And see that Glass as 10% full, and delicious.
what would you prefer the oils to do keeping in mind they are permanent.
change your hair or unbalance the game by giving you a perma buff of your choice?

i realize the event isnt what it could be - there are some things i might like to have but given the context of the story of the event, this is a 99%full clean glass of fresh water.
sorry you didnt get what you wanted. maybe when you get to be the event co-ordinator you can do a better job.

It's not 99% something apart form a nuisance though.
Fireworks for instance... a couple of tiems that weigh nothing and DON'T clog your inventory, if they do you can simply spam to use them. If you use these pots the chances are you end up changing the appearence of your toon which in most cases ais unwanted, so you gotta change back. no to mention theres tons of different poots that don't stack with each other and weigh 5 a tme making you heavy!
I've never complained about an event before this one and seriously, are the ones saying this event is good because it's something actually trying to level?

oh great I just criical errored because theres 100+ stupid junk pots lying around me and probably some adena/good drops that I missed because I can't just hit pickup. And that ain't sarcasm it's actually just happened.
The odds of there being "probably" some good drops where you are, at your level, are so slim as to be nearly unbelieveable.
Unless your idea of a "good" drop is a stem, an animal skin, or a metal hardner.
You realize that you can just drag them to the trashcan icon in your inventory. right? It takes 2 seconds, and unless you're trying to solo Valakas, those 2 seconds arent critical to your hunting time. In the meantime, let them stack up until they slow you down, then destroy them.
for someone whose got multipul level 78 chars, this event sucks the balls.
The last event was also terrible as they only spawned in the American time zones, which for most euros and others on our server (which is half the server) means we hardly got any apart frm weekend of the event. Further to that, 70% of the bosses never died as they were TOO LOW LEVEL.
