Im the leader of EndlessPariah on Kain. Yes we have a bad rep for greifing etc, so you may consider otherwise but this is my deal, to you as a player.
We have a clan hall which you have access to in goddard when you are a acad member. I will personally give you a mid D weapon and get a member to sponser you to get the clan armor (basicly top D) and we will cover all the costs, i generally also give some buff scrolls and if you need some help we can help if someones on.
I just joined and I was amazed at how supportive people were. I'm very grateful to the members and certainly recommend others to look into this clan. :)
poor ferst doesn't have any real clan members to do academy's chars for him. To those who have joined, how many of his academy characters are his own bots?
Having clan members do one is insurance in case one joined just to steal points. I've run two through this academy and working on a third. But this offer isn't for me now is it?

I actually have over 15 active players "in my clan" so to speak, some detag to level others stay tagged so yea we have enough people to do what we want.

though most of the time i only post to make fun of / stir up [censored] / be an idiot on these forums. I just find it hard to believe your main goal is to help people out after playing on the same sever as you for years.
I love the way players destroy the game while justifying to themselves in thinking that what short term "help" they think they give, fixes the game overall, and think they are heroes for it.

Why have clan members roll an academy member when you can help out a new player? o0 I don't see any other clan offering what FeRsT is to lowbies.
There are few clans that do what Ferst does for new players. In fact we have about 5 non alt active academy members atm which have recieved armor/gear. We just don't do the mass academy recruiting campaigns like Ferst does =0
Too bad I can't give free wyvern rides to academy members I might be able grab a few more active non alt academy members with that teaser =0

I think FeRsT is attempting to find players that many times don't have the chance to even "meet" someone in game before they quit. When the majority of the server is high level, I would find it somewhat difficult to get players who are about level 20 by "running into them" in game. Usually they think, that no one plays this game or that the server is dead...which might not be far from the truth, but eh...I am sure they will check out the boards here and see that there is a clan that is looking for low level players and take up the offer, and possibly not quit.
The point is, we do need more players and I think as a server we should be grateful for anyone that decides to help and keep new players on Kain! This game needs a little bit of campaigning imo.
A. i like to help people
B. I like rep points
C. Might as well help them somehow before they quit before level 40 without seeing a real player apart from 1-2 in dion who are active
Pretty much anyone on Kain that has been active in the clan politics is going to have ruffled many feathers.
Although he won't remember me, I partied with FeRsT several times ages ago (in C1 or C2 I think) when ToI parties were all the rage. In addition, I got invited to a few pickup parties for Lilith runs. I have to say he was fun to group with and was super helpful.
You can certainly pick on him and claim he's self serving or whatever, but the fact is that what he is proposing is a win-win scenario for people. You get gear and help (Goddard clan hall for Pete's sake) on either a new character or alt and he gets rep points. Plus, you get to listen in on the clan chat for what is surely quite interesting and intriguing dialogue!
even thou all Ferst really cares about is his rep points it still doesnt take away it helps lowbies a tad
sure thing Ferst own current and past gameplay/style has plenty room of discussion but at this point in the game do we really care or are we that bored ?? imo any new player that might wanna stick around is a good thing regardless of the how..
this forum gives other clans the same opportunity as that which Ferst is taking right now so go go and raise your voice to farm those newbies, give them some options to choose from..
Well you and anyone else are more than welcome to make the same post and offer gear to newbies, naturally you won't have a clan hall but put your money where your mouth is, as it were.
And yes I have done it, too bad not having a person in academy causes you to have no idea where they went/progressed after the fact. I've had a few on friends list but they usually quit after a week and/or removed me from their list which is probably for quitting too.
Take them raiding, one twinked dwarf can still solo the 2x raids. Sure everyone else in the party might die a few times due to the crazy agro. But the exp will boost you two levels, so who cares if you die a few times.

level trial accounts doiung this with say 10 of them and only let the lead pick up gear, at end of trial activate it with a game card and take the 200m+ in stuff :P hahah i own at exploits
First off, theres really only two points to an academy, get new players used to the game (havin fun playin with ppl while doin it) and for the clan, rep points. So to tell ferst that his main goal is rep is pretty ******ed... Secondly Giving gear (dosn't matter what grade) is never a bad thing, so far all I see in his offer are good things, sadly all my chars are past academy lvl :( But hey, ferst, if you're lookin for a fast way to lvl ur academy members, i DO have a big boom, which i use to kill over 50-75 lvl 64-68 mobs all at once, and depending on the lvls of the char, (lvl 66+ were gettin quite nearly 1% per boom) it's quite easy... Im sorry not sure where else to post this could you please tell me about this academy thing. I havent played lin 2 in about 3 or 4 years. how does this effect game play and what is it
