What I would like to know is if is worth doing?
The toon that would make it is 58 already, so I would have to buy all the coins to get lvl1 membership (I think it would cost about 5,5m adena) so I can get a royal member, and then start kalis coin quest (or whatever the name is) for 60% A-grade recipes.
now i would like to know if this is worth doing? I mean, at lvl65 or so all these mobs will be blue... and I refuse to hunt blue mobs..
oh and btw, how often does those kalis coin drop? from those fallen orcs?
drop rate is..... uncommon for the kali coins. I only did this quest ages ago for the money I could make off selling kali's coins. with the recipes (at least on my server) no where near as expensive as they used to be, I'm not sure its worth it. at upper fifties I'd stack all the cemetary quests and hunt there (including the new red gem quest. those seem to be a fairly common drop.)
well cemetary is no good xp for me, and no good mobs.
im hunting at forsaken plains or Forbidden Gateway, or blazing swamp if I duo with another archer.
just wanted to add some quests while hunting in those areas.
(forbidden gateway has the best quest by faar, the Agrade jewelry quest, but its a pain to change sub everytime I have to reactivate the quest, Im not 63 yet :(
I would tend to advise you to not do this in your situation with the toon that is at lvl 58. What you could do instead is start several of your toons on the coin quest. The drop rate before level 60 is rather low on most of the coins , in my experience. So I think you would find it hard to qualify on any one toon at lvl 55 for the Kail Coin quest, just by using the coins you collected on that one quest. But, if you are collecting the coins on several alts as they hunt in grounds where they drop, you can transfer the coins to one alt, and use that one toon to move to level 1 collector/Royal Member/Kail coin collector at level 55, and then use that toon to help get A grade weapon recs.
FYI, I have gotten plenty of Kail Coins - the drop rate on those is fine. And I have been able to get enough silvers to make level 1 membership by level 55, mostly from Outlaw Forest, a little from ground level at IT. But Bloods are a bit hard to get before level 55 in sufficient quantity, and Golds are also tough to get. The only reason I was able to get enough coins by level 55 is that some people in my alliance donated some coins.
Also, it seems like archers for some reason, or least SRs, get better drop rate on the coins that other classes.
Yes it is worth it a spoil recipe take for a normal person a week while for a Royal member may take only hours and and a overnight afk buy shop.
the drop rate for Kali's coins is completely different from the regular coins the Kali's silver ones is not so rare if you choose a specific mob to hunt Kali's gold and Kali's blood are the most easy to get you may get 1/4 - 6 mobs you kill thats better than killing 10 mobs or more and getting 1 Bloody Medusa.
Since C4 and the introduction of areas like Valley of Saints and Beast farm Coin quest have added higher level mobs to kill for acquiring coins.
For regular coins i mostly choose Beast farm since they are 1/2 mobs and you can kill them rather faster for a melee/archer person than trying Valley of Saints with their high evasion and nasty nukes. at same time you could get some recipes if have luck enough.
My ws,Tseralyn, has the Royal status,but only got this way with the thanks of doing the quest on her,and two other alts,all started at lvl 40.Hunting blue mobs doesn't bother me,its saves money since I don't have to use shots.I tested out the Fallen Orcs, both with my golem hitting and without and it took two buff rounds(40 mins) to get just one coin.The only reason it the quest seems to favour archers or nukers is cause they can hit more mobs in 20 mins then us melees can.With regards to the regular coins,Oldfart is right,the lvl max should say above lvl65.The mobs just outside Goddard are great for lvl 68ish,and Vos is nuker heaven lvl 64 ish above.Best idea is to make a chart with what coin yah need, what mobs drop them and where,what NPCs in what town switch them to different lvls.Hope this helps.
