I am currently a level 27 Palus Knight and Im going to become a Bladedancer. I've been saving this entire time so that when I run out of Shadow Weapon Vouchers I can buy a weapon. Since I am going for Bladedancer I figured I should buy duals already and I have a few questions.
-I don't quite understand how weapon profiencies work in this game. Other then getting skills to raise your damage what stops people from using any weapon they want ? As a Palus Knight will I be able to equip dual swords and use them? If I can will my sword masteries apply to this ?
-Where am I suppost to find the Crystal D Grades to make this weapon at a blacksmith? I don't see anywhere where I can buy these? (I've been actually wondering where all these random materials come from anyways are these things that dwarfs make or something?)
-Since I cant afford anything else I just planned on buying dual sabers. I haven't been to Giran yet so... Am I better off looking for someone selling these in Giran?

You can equip and use them, yes. No, your masteries will not apply, resulting in a lower PAtk and all than if you did have Dual Mastery.

Crystals are bought from other players, who obtain them by having an Artisan or Warsmith "crush" equipment of that grade. Other materials, like bones and iron ore, are dropped by monsters. More advanced materials are constructed by dwarves using the basic materials.

You're not likely to find someone selling dual sabres, the profit margin on them is too narrow. You're most likely going to see someone selling "107s" which is a set of D-Grade duals (actual swords involved varies) with an end-result PAtk of 107. I think these generally go for around 5mil, but I don't really remember. You might want to start manoring for more adena.
Well as a BD ur skills require u to use duals but otherwise nothing really prevents u from using any weapon u want. The extra dmg from weapon masteries is really neglagible until the higher lvls.
And as far as duals are concerned you can get the D crystals from ppl in dion usualy cheaper than in giran 640 at times in dion to 700 in giran.
This is on bartz. On a side note if you are not on bartz, teon, or franz i would suggest that u think about starting on one of those servers for the higher population.
I would really suggest saving for top d duals with patck 107 because it is going to b pretty difficult selling those dual sabers.
Also if u go with bastard elven duals u can actually sell those for a quick 200k profit when ur done with them.
It takes around 2.1 mil to make and you can sell them for 2.3 -2.4 mil in dion.

That's the beauty of this game. You can use anything you want. Doesn't mean it will be the best choice if you don't have the masteries but you can equip and use anything.

Dion might be a better market. Gludio used to be packed but a variety of things (players leveling out of the area, the necros/catacombs being put in the game, etc) put more importance on Dion.

There is no need to buy dual weapons for use at D grade as a Palus Knight. You can get by just fine with a sword (one or two handed) or even a dagger. I know of at least one person who even used a pole a D grade for his Palus Knight.

Yes, it is possible to use duals…or any weapon for that matter. However, true Dual Weapon Masteries, aren’t earned until you’ve completed your Second Class Change, and only by select classes.

An Artisan or Warsmith can crush D grade items to produce crystals. If you check the Library section on this site, you’ll see that each item has a crystal count. That is the number of crystals that you get when a crafter crushes an item. If you know a trustworthy dwarf, you should be fine.

The best way to get crystals is to crush any of the drops that you get which you don’t need. The second best way to get the crystals is to set up a buy shop (although this may take longer).

It is almost always cheaper to craft your own dual weapons, rather than buy in Giran player shop. You can craft duals either through the local village NPC Blacksmith, or through some combination of trading/upgrading weapons with the Blacksmith of Mammon. In fact at higher levels you must go through the Blacksmith of Mammon to craft duals.
