anyone can use 2 handed swords, brandish is the cheapest 2 hander that u can use atm, there is lvl restrictions on items, u currently use NG (no grade) at 20 u can use D grade, 40 for C, 52 for B, 61 for A, and 76 for S grade. if u want top NG 2 hander u gotta leave the starter town to get it, the sword is called a Zweihander. hope that anwsers ur question
On the other hand, I wouldn't go overboard on spending for top NG equipment on your first character. Because you will need to upgrade the level of your equipment when you reach levels that qualify you for higher level equipment. And NG passes by very quick.
I always found it disapointing that the weapons scale to the character, so when my DE holds an Infernal Master its around 2/3 the size of when an Orc holds one. WTB Dwarfs with full size 2 handers!

I don't know about the scaling issue. If you took a infernal master the one the orc holds and let a DE hold it. They wouldn't be able to lift it and i can just see this DE dragging it all around.
Haven't found any bugged gear with the dwarf class beside Doom Light gloves + Any fist weapon and they will scale to what the orcs have em but on a dwarf. ^^ sadly it doesn't work on 2 handes swords.
