1:Made 22 monk today and was looking for better weapons/armor. Been using the shadow weapons but those are about depleted and then im gonna be hurting. Especially since i havent bought any soulshots for fighting since the newbie ones.Current gear consists of wooden armor set and my old NG claws and 300k cash.Since i dont want to waste it, i was wondering about suggestions to get the most bang for my buck.
2:Top D armor for monk and where to buy?
Top D weapon and where to buy?
I realize these questions seem noobish to the extreme, but coming into a game thats been out 3 years and as much content as this one, well, is daunting. Alot to learn.
Get in a clan and get someone to sponsor you for the Clan Oath armour. Just about the best D-grade armour you can get.
For weapons, I think you can use the Weapon Exchange program to upgrade to a set of D-grade claws, and then use AA gathered during the 7 Signs events to upgrade them to a better set through the Blacksmith of Mammon.
If you join a clan, they should be able to explain that whole process to you.
Yea ive read those quests and how its done. Im just not a person who joins a clan just to get help and/or gear. Id rather read/ask questions and get it done. Not because im anti-social, but because id rather learn my class inside/out. Id also rather contribute to a guild rather than siphon from it.
That's kind of what academies are all about though, and when you graduate you give the clan rep points which are extremely valuable so it's not exactly siphoning anything :)
The question of light vers heavy armor is a heated one....But i believe one must stay true to ones self.
So i use light armor. It's been a long road for myself and i have had help along the way in the way of Ancient Adena. In saying that i used AA and the blacksmith of mammon to upgrade my fists to Scallop Jamadhr. For armor i went with Boots of power, Rip Gauntlets, Mithril uppers and lowers, and Helmut.
Their is a quest you can do to get bone mats.... If you have a dwarf that can craft course bone powder, you should be able to make a nice profit selling bone powder.
sadly, not anymore. CBP prices flopped to a shadow of their former self. now, VOP, mithril alloy, Metallic Thread, Crafted leather and Durable Metal Plate are the only mats worth manoring for or trying to spoil.
