get a better search engine

The search engine for the boards is terrible or I don't know how to use it to the fullest capacity. Sometimes I need to do an exact search for one or two words but have them in the same post and I get a lot of garbage.

If the search engine is more robust can someone post a guide on using it? If not then get a better one.

It's been a while since I had to search for anything, but IIRC if you put in 2 words to search for, it'll show you all the threads that had one or the other as well as both words in them. This is no good.

Among other things. I suggest you learn how to use search engines first.

if it doesnt come with a turtorial, then im lost.....i only tried the search once...and never again will i think it's useful.

Guess I should have looked at the advanced search tips... Never noticed it before >>

Use +keyword for required keywords.
Use -keyword to exclude posts with a keyword.
Use quotes around a phrase to search for a phrase. Use spaces around the word to match the exact word. Example " word "

Yeah I finally saw that after you mentioned it. Works for me.

"+" is my friend.
Last week I was looking for the wit tables for resurrection.. so I put in.

Search: +wit +resurrection
Limit: 50
Period: Newer than 3 years.

Low and behold, there it is at the bottom of page 2.
