MaketheCatsNecrosBIGGER!!! insta player increase!!

Trying to find a room in those places is a nightmare now, i cant be bothered with killing the farmers, as i LOOSE TONS of xp getting rid of PK POINTS, basically the amount i gained lvling there in the first place..

either make the place bigger!! im sure this one thing alone will triple or double the player base on the populated servers anyway.
or do something to make it easier to get rid of pk points so i can actually participate in these not so new areas, atm i feel like im stuck in pre c4 with all these rooms filled with farmers.

and no i cant be bothered waiting 20minutes for those dmn doors to open at goe, or some other crap.

Put more rooms and increase congested areas, or make it easier to wash pk's, and no, no one gives a crap bout the idiots who gank all the time, washing pk's wld make pvp a hell of a lot more interesting and less tedious, then the mess it is now...

Oh yea and if ure red and some1 attacks you they shld go purple, so you can actually use some of ure debuffs etc...
As it is you cant even pk properly, ridiculous.
It would be nice to have bigger cats and necros but to be honest all I can see happening is that it will fill up with even more of the automated ones :(

Oh yea and if ure red and some1 attacks you they shld go purple, so you can actually use some of ure debuffs etc...

Never made it off Korean Test... even the Koreans think this is a bad idea.

Madders has it spot on though... bigger dungeons means more farmers.
Just bring back some form of drops on death.

Set it up so that the last 5 items you picked up or were traded (along with the full stack of like items) have a chance to be dropped on death. This will virtually never hurt normal players, but those characters that farm for hours and hours in the same spot could get hit hard.

Then, at least if you can't get the room for XP you can farm the farmers again.

Unless you just bought that brand-new S grade armour set and weapon, then get trained in your cata...
Actually, chance of dropping anything not equipped including adena would take this game a lot closer to the origional intent. With the way it is now, it just isn't worth killing the farmers and they know it.
Yeah now the farmers have OEed weapons that glow dark blue for gods sake. That would never happen before.
Item drop hurt legit players more than it hurt farmers. After all, they can simply re-buy their gear a lot easier than a legit player can.

On the positive side, more farmers = more money and accounts.

So hey, make the cata and necro's huge, make it farmer land and let the rest of us fight everywhere else, lol.

Actually, then everything in this game hurts the legit player more than the farmer so this point is worthless.
And walking into a room with a bunch of dead farmers on the ground and finding a good drop made for a very special day on bartz. Now, it is just a SS and move on. They will be rez'd soon enough and start the circus again.

I think everyone who posts on these forums knows at least 2 people who quit because of item loss.

Personally, back in the day when they dropped stuff, I killed I don't know how many bots with trains and crossaggro and the like... and never once did I get them to drop anything.

However, when *I* died in PvE? I had a 50% drop rate... every other death I'd drop *something*.

At this point? If they brought death-drops back and I lost, say, my Dragonslayer? I'd log out and cancel both accounts.
I'm actually more in favor of closing down some of the Catas and Necros, and expanding the remaining few.

And Seven Signs in general needs to be revamped.
Tis why I said items that were not equipped. Anythign in your inventory not directy on your person is droppable.

That way, you weapon, you armor and your jewels are safe. Otherwise, it is all fair game.

Something has to be changed if we are to make this a better game. they did listen to us and removed the drop on death, but the unintened affect was that it isnt' worth killing bots. Along with the change in how long you can get aggro and pull an nice train on a room and the aggro effect of a mop being moved from their room, that removed some of those setups.

All in all, it comes close for me to just say, I dont' care about others and just come to play for myself. use to be we woudl go on a bot run once a week just as a server service. Now, I doubt I would waste my time.
if u dont know how to make cash in this game and quit cuz u lose ur "weapon"... go play wow... then u prolly have ebay'd ur gear and no clue how it works...

and i bet most of players dont have a problem with farmers if they can drop again.

and for the carebears... NC made BSOE's...

the game was way better pre C4 btw...

Then force all classes to have 3-4 weapons. Otherwise you screw over certain melee classes while nuker/archers go unharmed.

Anyway, Augmented weapons would be protected still, so weapon dropping is a null point all in all. Just get a cheap augment to prevent dropping.
I do agree cats are bad to lvl in these days, i train them all the time. Tho i found recently they come back and attack me oO Shame they cant pvp for ****zle, i wiped out there whole grp solo 9 v 1....they really should equip shots :) After killing them a second time, they decided to leave and not return.

I'm pretty sure they either logged on after you left, or found a different hunting spot...or logged on a completely different group of automated farmers in a different spot.

As mentioned in numerous other discussions like this, the average gamer has only one effective option to addressing the farmers, but it's not necessarily one that gives us any immediate satisfaction: report the offenders and wait for possible action by NCSoft. That's it.

I might. My 2 accounts gone would simply be another 2 nails in the coffin.

Contrary to popular belief, not everyone in A-grade ebayed their gear, nor are they swimming in adena.

I have absolutely zero desire to go through all the trouble to make that kind of adena all over again if I had to.
I agree that the Cats and Necros need to be bigger. As far as the farmers go, I do wish somebody could come up with a solution to actually keep them from proliferating in the dungeons. Maybe just hire one or 2 GMs who do nothing more than roam the Cats and other dungeons and look for clanless players who are playing 24/7 to boot.
dropping inventory items is not good either becuase a fighter may have a pole incase of aoe party or a bow to kill pkers and a nuker could have a set of +mp cast spd robes for groups to buff and heal
Nukers dont really buff and heal...
How bout instant GM consultation on botters if more then 20-30 players petition in an hour, this would allow clans to police servers lessening the load on gm's etc
It would also become a griefing tool/tool for war.

Clan X petitions y number of Clan Z members just when they're about to rush the throne room. Boom, Clan Z guys are getting GM consultation. GG.
Farm the Farmers

Across the lands of Aden, a sinister force of seemingly unstoppable evil spreads. Capable of corrupting even the most noble citizens of the world, the minions of the dark spread their vile influence into the highest courts of the strongest clans.

Hidden behind a veil of anonymity, they pose as seemingly normal adventurers going about normal, everyday activities, blending in with the common and elite alike. But, there are indications, perhaps even signs, that point to their true identities.

Between July 4, 2007 and forever, find and kill as many farmers are you can. Use various detection methods and spot common characteristics, such as predictive pathing towards mob spawns, Bounty Hunters leading every party, unresponsive behavior, force-logging/auto-relogging when chaotic players are near, and 24/7 playing to find your prey.

Starting at 1,000 farmers farmed, you will become eligible for these rewards:

1,000 farmers farmed = Noble Tiara
2,000 farmers farmed = Your choice of any B-grade recipe
3,000 farmers farmed = Your choice of any A-grade recipe
4,000 farmers farmed = Level 11 Soul Crystal of any color
5,000 farmers farmed = Level 12 Soul Crystal of any color
6,000 farmers farmed = Level 13 Soul Crystal of any color
7,000 farmers farmed = Hero status for 1 week
8,000 farmers farmed = Who are you kidding? The farmers would have already set their programs to forcelog whenever you come within targetting range of them long before now.

For the duration of the event, you will not flag or go red from farming farmers. Good luck!
I just bought this game a week ago. Ive played 5 other MMO's and this one by far has the biggest bot population. If you look up any of their websites, and compare prices, they get almost 1/3 more money for equal amount of buying power than other games. Also from what ive seen, 1/2 of the games total subs is owned by farming companies.

Having said that, I wish I had played this game sooner. It is fun but sadly, its on its downward slide.
I'd rather see unused areas get boosts. Like Cruma use to be great exp for big groups and drops were rather regular; karmian gloves use to drop so much we crushed them. It was also THE place for crafter leather spoils... stuff like that. Make different areas good for different reasons, not bigger exp pens.

I'm for that.
i bet u mean areas like swamp of screams... not even the automated go there. bad exp , bad spoils, bad drops...
(<3 metal hardener...)

some areas clean cuz they not "worthy" to use any shots/pots...

but cruma dont need to be boosted... 1 pole dorf + se is enough for that sweet place. it just needs more places like that between 50 -70 :p (its a big hole there)

and for ur farmer "event"... that means NC already "KNOWs" who is farmer or not... (do they ? lol)

and for ur farmer "event"... that means NC already "KNOWs" who is farmer or not... (do they ? lol)

yeah but you goto see its a good idea for making a event out of it No flagging week. man would i hit everyone that day knowing that i would not be going either purple and or red. ohhhhhh *salivating* :p

this would really give us a reason to just kill them instead of waiting for a gm to take a lost case already.
Sea of Spores is pretty poor in automated friends.
I think this is largely because of the Orfen mini-boss (mini-boss with agro range) that roams the area there.

So I would like to see live area's where all kinds of mobs are available within a certain level-range (half-hp/normal-hp/multi-hp and group-mobs) both passive and aggressive mixed. Put a couple of Orfen-like mini-bosses in those area's too. Also make some of mobs in area pick up loot left on the ground.

Simple right?

Why the different mobs all mixed?
Well, it becomes less easy for "walker-like" program to hunt as they now have far more variables to keep track of. The mini-bosses are ideal for killing the soulless characters in game as they just are unkillable for single players in the first place.
The looting mobs keep the place clean of discarded drops and maybe you could go so far as to make those mobs drop the accumulated loot when killed. Keep in mind less drops left behind on the ground can help reduce lag.

Anyway this has been written somewhere before I am sure. Thing is they are not implemented. Ofcourse I wonder why.

Yeah now the farmers have OEed weapons that glow dark blue for gods sake. That would never happen before.

are you dumb, they could augment their items so like it matters, god your dumb
I miss the days when there were area bosses scattered about... it was so fun to train these on our little friends. I used to kill them often to, pity they didnt really drop anything significent. Then NC Soft turned them all into raid bosses or removed them completely :(
On Erica it is kinda weird, I used to go to Catacombs of the Witches and ALL rooms were taken. Good thing I joined a party there that was there for a majority of the time to have its own room otherwise very little chance of getting one. My usual party then went to Forbidden Path and quickly came out due to everything being taken. We finally went to Saint's Necroplis off of Heine and there is no one. Maybe look around since there are basically 2 for each level range for Catas and Necros.
Just kill the bots, they pm you to leave them alone, train them again, they send a enforcer(kill him), then they leave. In witches this worked, I've had cata to myself for last week. Funny thing is the arguement they will start with you over they are not "bots" but are "farmers" as you chase them down:)
Ya training easily works, have trained a lot of bots, very fun :)
Yeah very fun that they PM you sayin "plz leave me alone". they are vocal now. Wish a dwarf had a demonic laugh, i would just do that.

8,000 farmers farmed = Who are you kidding? The farmers would have already set their programs to forcelog whenever you come within targetting range of them long before now.

Setup an afk sell shop close to where they log on, but not with in mob range. Go have dinner or something, most times within an hr or two they clear all the names off there force log list so they can get back to it. It's kind of funny to see how fast can log in and back out again (every 5 mins in most cases).

This will virtually never hurt normal players, but those characters that farm for hours and hours in the same spot could get hit hard.

Unless you just bought that brand-new S grade armour set and weapon, then get trained in your cata...

if you are S grade and dont know how to aviod being trained.

You deserve to lose your armor.

I hated the nerf of dropping items. Single worst idea they ever had.

This from someone that dropped a Maj circlet (110 mil at the time) and it was picked up by a bot.

I used to play a game called Lineage. [923]ing carebears.
How you avoid being trained when being stunned? Force log and get reported for it? GG. There are circumstances when you CANNOT avoid it.
Yeah, dying isn't what it used to be. Now the only thing you risk is some flimsy "death penalty", a status which is too easily cured. I'd like to see it changed, like so:

1. Death Penalty lasts 7 Days from the time that you seek out the Black Judge to remove this status. If no petition is sought, the Death Penalty remains in effect, and accelerates in severity after 24 hours of in-game time.

2. During that 7 Day period, you are automatically subject to a small chance of dropping one item upon your next death.

3. Additional Death Penalties accrue. After the 10th death during that same 7 day period, a player will have a 60% chance to drop at least one item, equipped or otherwise, from your inventory. Augmented weapons and Boss Jewels are excepted.

4. After the 20th death during that same 7 day period, you will drop a minimum of 3 items. Augments will be removed upon drop of any augmented weapon in inventory. Shadow Weapons timers will be reduced to null. Boss jewels are evaporated and dropped in the form of like-grade crystals. No chance possibility, no saving grace. You die after 20 deaths, you drop at least 3 items.

5. The Death Penalty counter restarts after 7 Days AND paying a fee to the Black Judge. The amount of the fee increases in relation to the number of deaths accrued during the 7 day penalty. Also the higher the level of the petitioner, the higher the fee.

6. Deaths that occur during sieges or festivals do not accrue as a death penalty.

Now, imagine what it would be like to deal with automated farmers and cheats if the Death Penalty was used to full effect. You could train farmers all day, every day, for a week. And when you consider that some of these farmers will already be fairly high in the death penalty count due to deleveling, everyone will be encouraged to help eliminate this problem.
Sounds like a good way to seriously grief weaker players.

I could go perma-red and farm C-grade characters all day long.
Yea, seriously.

And the high levels don't drop their boss jewels and augmented weapons (probably some of the highest OE'd weapons on the server).

/veto

Death Penalty is not a way to remedy the "drop on death" nerf. Also, everyone asked for it this way - so now you get to deal with the catas and necros filled with unimaginable numbers of autofriends.

If you don't like it, level in fields that aren't infested - rerolling, if necessary.

I could go perma-red and farm C-grade characters all day long.

Until they started hunting you. I would follow the "death penalty" improvements up with certain other "improvements" for perma reds. :D

You didn't read the whole thing. After a certain number of deaths (a number which could change to fit a better criteria), you CAN drop ANY item in your inventory, including Boss Jewels and augmented weapons.

But I agree, the death penalty alone cannot address automated farmers. You'd have to scroll up a few posts to see what the only solution available for that is.

Until they started hunting you. I would follow the "death penalty" improvements up with certain other "improvements" for perma reds.

Hunting me? I just transfer their gear to another alt, sell it off, and reroll, just to do it all over again.

Face it, mate, the idea is flawed.

Which essentially makes it perfect for L2. :D :D :D
