The good and the bad....After 2.6 years

Well, i've been playing l2 for 2.6 years now, as the post said... >.> And theres alotta really awesome stuff in this game, as well as some pointless stuff, first i'd like to address a few things that dont make too much sense...
Spil Festival: I've got a lvl 55 bounty hunter and running trains in the catas for spoils is the best way so far to get spoils, now i know theres no mass sweeper of anything but as we have a /nexttarget ability we should at least have a /nextdeadtarget ability, im not asking for a totally new skill, just something that say we spoilers could use or the characters that have corpse explosion as well...

Crystal dagger/SA critical dmg: It says it increases p atk TO 140 during a critical not BY 140... So if a +6 cry dagger has like 163 p atk how would the 140 help? unless its a typo, but my plainswalker friend was testing it throughly and he didnt see better critical dmg at all...

Siege summons: My main character is a dwarf >.> Not the best choice, i know, but i've been to over 72 sieges and i've not ONCE seen a summoned siege weapon besides my own, the summons are almost useless cause it takes 5 mins to summon, and as soon as it's summoned it has the summoners name on it, so i get taken out EXTREMELY fast cause i'm the main target and all the mats to summon him are totally wasted, which isnt cheap... it'd be nice to have them be mountable >.> haha j/k

Then there the sieges themselves, you get everyone there, duke it out for half an hour and what happens? all people that were signed up get taken out by ppl that arent even signed up? Drak bows and arcana maces show up to a gludio castle siege cause the alt clan of the ones owning the castle wasnt to keep it... I'd suggest that anyone showing up to a siege NOT signed up would not get have normal XP loss rules apply and charms are ineffective, not that anyone could kill em anyways and they should be immediately debuffed, if they WANT to be in a siege they should sign up like everyone else..... Is that too much to ask? :)

And how about them 2nd class change quests eh? lol, me and my two roomates all play, and they both dont want to make a second character cause they'd rather quit then do the quests over again, and i know i've done the dwarven one twice and i'm not a fan of running around everywhere, dim.diamonds are pretty nice, but still... One of my roomies started the quests and decided to wait till B grade to do em.... He was a lvl 52 artisan, now thats just crazy, not to mention he is a bit lazy >.>

Then theres the death penalty changes... Ok so is it just me or is it a bad idea to change the WHOLE layout of the game after its been out for over 2 years? Ever since then i'd have to say that over 70% of the players on the kain server up and left. No ones on anymore, and it's not cause of lost equipment cause u can't do it anymore, they're all just fed up with everything being changed for the "better" Sure we all liked training the bots in the catas hoping to get something from em... And -_- i even lost my nightmare helm in toi from just leveling back when you could drop, and my first strider way back when outside aden... never found either, but i managed to get by, with my BH and crafter supporting me with spoils and crafts.. I really like this game, and if i wasn't sooo close to getting a subclass i'd have left along time ago cause i dont like whats going on so far....

People have been saying it for years, and I agree, we NEED to give the wolves some kind of skill, even if its just a pdef buff, it would help out majorly, i have a level 51 wolf and it's getting harder to lvl him...But not everythings supposed to be easy i know :P

I'm not gonna mention anything about botters in the catas, everyone knows about em...

And dont we all love the new way to train mobs? They surround you instaed of run to you, i mean its not that bad, I've learned to deal with it, but ima dwarf, i have a bit more hp than most >.> But for the average player, i don't see the point of makin it harder to train, alotta ppl left after that as well cause what was the point, lots of ppl were set up for training cause it was a good way to make money and now its harder than anyone bothers to try learn how to deal with... In essence the people making the decisions are makin bad ones, dont make the game harder than it needs to be, and certainly dont change the entire layout mid game....

Now on the other hand, i've seen screenshots of the Kamael and i gotta say, i can't wait for them to be playable!! They look so freakin awesome, :)

Some things i really like about this game is that no matter what u can't see other peoples lvls unless they're in you're clan, sure that means that you could get owned by a lvl 68 or si in brig armor cause u thought u could take him with you're lvl 44 in full plate but thats makes this game fun.

The baby pets arent that bad, cept they heal at the wrong times XD, give em a heal skill, and take em off auto heal, it wont replace healers anyways... :)

The events are usually always pretty cool tho..

well ill post more later, its almost time for work.. See ya all in game.
Wolves evolve in CT. :)
Can't answer most of that, but the critical damage: It adds into the damage formula like this:

Multiplier based on a preset number and target defense.
Damage = Multiplier * ( PAtk *2 [Soulshots] + CritDamagePAtk ) * Crit Damage Multiplier

That means if you have decent patk you won't see much of a difference with crit damage - it becomes even less noticable when you OE, since that always means you have a higher PAtk. It's really not a very good SA except for its effect on dagger stabs.

Spoil Festival: I've got a lvl 55 bounty hunter and running trains in the catas for spoils is the best way so far to get spoils, now i know theres no mass sweeper of anything but as we have a /nexttarget ability we should at least have a /nextdeadtarget ability, im not asking for a totally new skill, just something that say we spoilers could use or the characters that have corpse explosion as well...

Maybe you know this already, but if I remember right you can hold down the Shift key to enable targetting dead mobs.
So maybe Shift+NextTarget would let you cycle through all the mobs you just killed/spoiled?
If you didn't know about that then yeah, just use Shift and click on whichever dead mobs are blue, and sweep 'em one at a time^^

edit: by the way, you might want to call it "pulling AOE trains" or something, because to some people "running trains in the catas" has a completely different, highly EULA-breaking meaning :p
Shift + next target does not work for me.

However, plugging in a gamepad and using the shoulder buttons (sorta) does. Clicking them by oneself with shift is still faster and more reliable.
Oh yeah, i know about the shift+target dead mobs, but when theres 32+ mobs all in basically one spot, you can't really target the dead mobs when live ones are standing on them...

And highly EULA breaking? Have you read the eula? :P HIGHLY eula breaking is all the bots in the catas, If i ever wanted to train ppl in the catas its not agains the eula, its just not very nice...

And to add a little bit to the post everyone knows what dwarves can do that no other race can, craft and spoil... So also true that all other races have alot more skills than the dwarves, i'm not asking for more skills but the main thing that really gets me p'oed is the common craft.... No offence, but sure its fun to not need a dwarf for the FUN crafts, or like the dyes and ghps, but what do we get for compensation? I thought that the dwarves were supposed to be the only ones that could craft, sure its not gonna change now that they've been given the ability to craft, but it's dissapointing...
"Running trains" phrase means running bot trains :p. That is why Styr advised for a different phrase to say.

I do wish that there was atleast some dropping chance, it was really fun back then but the dropping shouldn't be equipment since I have also seen many quit do to losing valuable things.

I think pets are pretty much useless at this point. I am hoping the wolfs evolve thing give them some nice skills.

Also, those 2nd class quests are HORRIBLE.. You know I do not even want to make a character go over 20 right now since I am afraid of the lvl 20 class change quest :p (I have a few 20+ characters but everytime I make alts now which is a lot, I stop at like lvl 11-15 because I realize the quest is just too long  ).

The ONLY level 20 quest worth complaining about is the Scavanger one, finding Toma is a [censored]. The rest are all 20-40mins at most.

Level 40 ones arnt really that bad either once you've done one you should in theory have enough gear to loan off to your alts to glide through the quests, and now that you get dimesnional dimonds and more ports to various areas (CT for example) it shouldnt take more than 3-4hours to do all 3.
Yeah, I agree, I did level 20 scav quest a few days ago and that's totally insane. Finding Toma once is bad enough, but THREE -_- times !?!? -_- -_- -_-

They should do it that you go talk with him once and the rest of the quest involves a town NPC. Or maybe make the teleports more convenient, like north entrance of abandoned coal mine instead of west, put one near the island where he spawns and one near the north gate of mithril mines. Or give 3 scrolls of escape for each 3 spot when someone gets to that part of the quest.

Sorry, guess you misunderstood my statement. As Greatness said, I was only pointing out that your original word choice made it sound like you prefer controlling bot parties as the best way to spoil, which I'm sure was not your intended meaning^^

Anyways, I think everyone can agree with you that BH/FS really need to have a mass sweep skill to complement their spoil festival - hope it won't take too much longer for NC to add that into the game.
gawd get rid of the lvl 40 quest change for luv of GAWD! How MANY ppl've left this game cos those quest are so awful? Not even gonna think bout the 3rd......
The second class change quests are easy now adays, you can port around most of the places, you got guides to just about all of them and gear is so much better now.

Try doing these things in Prelude...no guides, no dimensional diamonds, dismal equipments, bugs and dialogue errors up the yin yang, etc.
Yes I was here since Open Beta and .... the level 20 ones were just so terrible. (Do a class change in a wooden set with a gladius). So don't complain about the easy time you have now because would you rather do it with no porting, ss, bsps, dim diamonds with bad gear & wep, WITH people pking each other left and right? oh yeah with no help and no idea what the npc's are talking about and no pointers on a map. heck some people forgot to do the quest to get a map. yes you had to buy or do a quest to get a world map. 1 for aden 1 for elmore both could get dropped due to pkers, man your gear could be dropped too so don't complain about class changes today. Count your blessings
Well I wasn't saying that the level 40 class change quests were hard per say, just that they are EXTREMELY boooooring, go here talk to this guy kill something, talk to this guy across the world, yada yada yada. :P
