Start you quest for Badges ASAP. Oh and, start your quest for badges ASAP. Other than that the only piece of advice I can give you is to start your badge quest ASAP.
Here (http://lineage2.stratics.com/content/library/quests/index.php?id=15103) is an example of a third class change - in this case BD - Spectral Dancer. It will give you an idea what to expect as 3rd class changes all have similar elements and as far as I'm aware all need badges.
Then you don't need to worry about third class change for a very long time ;)
j/k it's referring to a part of the third class change quest where you need a level 2 alliance with the orcs or silenos to continue, you level ranks by killing the opposite force and collecting badge quest items.
Hmm. I found the 3rd class change quest to be kind of easy.... altho I did need some backup help... but I'm a healer, to be expected.
You can start the Alliance quest for badges at 74 and you have to hunt either Varka silenos or Ketra orcs a lot to get the needed amount of badges to get to level 2 alliance. But you can sort of do it leisurely for a whole couple of levels. The other challenging part is the 700 mobs... but with a few friends assisting, you can do that in an evening easy.
The 2nd class change quests to me are the nightmare of L2 and are bad enough that only clan reputation points being badly needed would ever get me to do them again.
I helped friends with their quests and 3rd class quests aren't hard. There are some boring parts, but it's nothing compared to Subclass quest. This one is the worstestest ever in the world of the universe! :(
As long as you start the varka/ketra quest before you actually need it the quest isnt that hard. I've done the 3rd class quest 3 times (coming up on a 4th for my PP, which I suspect may be a bit harder then doing it on a DD). Its a bit fustrating when doing the 700 mobs part as theres only 3 spots at Shrine where there are enough mobs for any half decent DD to kill without standing around waiting for spawns. Oh and I also had a problem I think it was on my SH.. when I had to kill a boss type mob near Ketra Orcs and I could get external heals or he went away... but a few elixir and QHP solved that on 3rd attempt.
found the 3rd class change to be very short and sweet
if you do all the stupid quests before hand, then it should go by very fast
search sites that give you a detailed description of what to do in ur 3rd class quest. they will also tell you everything that you can do before hand.
then, just a lot of running around and then the excitement of killing 700 mobs!!

I really didn't think the 3rd class change quest was all that bad. You just have to pay attention to what the quest says and it's really easy. Do the Hot Springs part, and the Varka/Ketra part and you'll be halfway already. The rest is running around and porting to various places to "commune" with some stone tablets. The 700 mobs part is a bit excessive, but find some friends and it becomes extremely easy. (I think I did it in about 3 hours or so with only a couple of people helping.)
