99.9% sure that any exploit that is knowingly exploited is bannable
and seeing as how you can not really accidently fly into a castle not knowingly, almost 100% sure that yes, it is bannable
dont hold me to that tho, and others feel free to correct me
but I didn't have to do anything, i just flew at the castle, no glitches no exploits, landed on the wyvern pad and dis mounted. nothing in there imo that bannable
See I'm confused. In c3 or 4 if you tried to fly a wyvern over siege grounds during a SIEGE, you'd be punted off back to town. Unless they changed that, it still does it.
Now the other gripe was a clan leader flying on TOP of a castle BEFORE the siege on an area no one could access, then summoning his entire clan to his location so you'd have a force of 40+ sitting there already inside most of the castle gates. I believe that was the bannable exploit

Xactly. There are spots in some castles which you can reach via a wyvern before the siege, and then you can summon your clannies there (chant of gate or summoner). And special exploit is that even though you can reach the inside of the castle from those spots, you will not get kicked out when the siege starts. That's probably what makes it a bannable offense to do so.
When we had a castle, one of the clans we were warred against also had a castle. During non-seige times, they wyverned in, summoned their entire clan, and we had another mini-seige to reclaim our castle. From my understanding, the person was warned. Then they rotated leadership to someone else, did it again, they were warned... etc.
However, I believe the last time they did it, when one of the clannies reported it they were informed it was no longer a bannable offense during non-seige time. So I think the change came with the release of Interlude.
Chant of gate or a summoner can do it, but another castle owning clan leader has a skill that can summon the entire clan, not just parties or single people :/
I would call it a tactic IF you could do something about the people porting in pre siege, from what I understand you can't reach them with any skill.
Ellie, exactly my point. Hehe. That's what they did. It was more for PvP than for 'seiging' the castle (since it wasn't seige time). But it sure felt like a seige, considering the setting. lol
The current owner of the castle remains owner
That at any moment the owner can vanguish everyone
That Durring NON seige times that all NPCs cannot be killed (or could be but have a respawn timer similare to that of a typical mob)
And i think that would be all. This would bring in a completely different fun form of gaming in lineage2. Non Seige time seiges.... If they could add a point system to the non seige times, that would be exellent, however there would have to be an agreement (similare to that of a duel)... And only Castle Owning clans can do this (perhaps clan hall depending on attacking or defending system)
We petitioned and asked if it was ok to use a wyvern to get into an enemy castle or clan hall, we were told it was ok.
So thats your straight answer, if there is no siege, you are allowed to.
If you fly into a castle during non-siege times and your going in there is not related to a siege or upcoming siege then it is not bannable.
When a siege starts everyone not defending a castle gets kicked off the castle grounds. There are spots in the castle, which for some reason, do not kick people. If you fly into one of these areas for the purpose of exploiting one of these spots then it is bannable. You can't claim not knowing of these spots since had to know about it to take advantage of it. You also knowingly do this before a siege because doing so after results in you getting rejected from flying into the siege zone. This is my interpretation of what was in the notes.
Long time ago it was made bannable during siege times, because you could use an exploit on Aden castle. You could drop down on a piller and basically take the castle solo,if the owner didn't watch the crystal..Whit the introduction of clan summon the situation is changed, and they might need to make castles no fly zones permanently..But until they address this and make a statement,it remains a non bannable offense and just a matter of tactics.

That doesn't sound like an exploit to me. Actually sounds like a good idea. Not like that would be hacking the intended game mechanics
People on this board call exploit way to easy.
If the castle owners were too dumb to use the Expel function in the castle to kick out their enemies, well that's their own fault, lol.
dont really matter what we call exploit, its the fact that NC verbally warned people about it being ban-able offense. and that they 3-day banned people for it as a warning.
i dont think our opinions of exploits have anything to do with it lol

lol @ the people who /gmed them then. that's quite sad getting beat that bad straight up then going and running to a gm.
well its not like the people who won the castle, was then stripped of it. it was kinda like "wow an exploit, good job figuring that out, and nice tactics. however it is an exploit, so don't do it again."
its the same as any bug in the game, would you want people not reporting when other things in the game don't work. ....say if a raid boss didnt spawn, or the NPC guards didnt kill reds?
it was a bug, it was found out and ppl were told to never do it again or else.
the real question is if it ban-able buring non-siege times.
You can't fly a wyvern into a siege during non siege times.
I don't see how that can be an exploit. You fly like normal, and land, and use clan gate. You aren't glitched through any area or whatever. Exploit are like the old shortcut to AL, or quests that you were able to turn in 5 times.
ok maybe your not getting it.
you CAN fly a wyvern over a siege ground (or what is considered a siege ground when a siege is taking place) when a siege is not taking place. that is what i have heard as being true, and more or less am taking to be a fact.
during a siege, you get automatically booted back to town if you even try to get near a siege ground.
the exploit is that you can fly into a castle (maybe not in, but to a strategical area on/near/in the castle) during a non-siege time. in some cases, you actually need to clip through walls to get there, which from my understanding was in old Chronicles when wyvern flying was way less than perfect. so now you land you summoner in this place, which the spot also happens to be an area that when the siege begins, and everyone is kicked out of the castle, this spot is not considered the castle, so you are not kicked out. now the siege begins, and you now use the summoner to bring any amount of people "inside" the castle. now you basically are in the castle, at the throne room without ever having to actually "participate" in the fighting of the siege.
now you own the castle, and can defend the throne room.
this was usually done 10-15 mins before the siege was set to end, because then the now attacking (old owners of the castle) have no time to come and re-claim the throne room.
now, this is indeed an awsome plan of attack, and a great tactical advantage. however, the simple fact was that you were technically inside the castle (or somewhere that you just have to jump off an "object" to get inside) and you are not kicked from the castle when the siege begins. hence, it being an exploit.
people did this, it worked, NC found out about it, told ppl to stop, and now it is a KNOWN exploit that is a ban-worthy action.
once again, the real question is if it is allowed to fly into one of these places during non-siege times, as long as your actions do not affect the siege.
yeah you used to be able to land on top of a pillar in aden castle before the siege stared, and then log in like 15 mins before the siege ends, summon the clan leader, then literally just fall off the pillar into the castle, pray at the statue, then win.
this pillar was not considered part of the castle tho, so no being booted out :(

"Was"?
The last time I heard someone using this exploit on Teon was not even two months ago.
That's why you either do it BEFORE the siege, or in these special "exploit" places which do not count as part of the siege ground.
The simple solution is to make every area of the castle a siege zone like it should have been.
But of course, its the players fault that we have (censored) that didnt think "Hey duh, a wyvern, he can fly and land on roof tops.. I wonder if thats a siege zone?! DUURRR!"
American Software testers would kill these korean wanna-be's I swear.
And no one thought to do that for the longest time either. :) But even then just one person could drop from the skies, there was no summon friend, chant of gate, nor castle crown summoning then either.
