Announcement — NCsoft will be joining the PS camp. NCsoft is the MMO company, and will be creating exclusive games for PS3. No word on whether it’s from current or new IP.
i dunno to me, the exclusive part means only available on PS3 so ima hafta say no.
plus it would be such a money drain for them to recode L2 for PS3 more than halfway through the L2 projected lifespan.
Well it says "will be creating" games, so I don't see how there would be a chance of that being L2 at all, considering L2 is already.. you know.. "created".
Make L3 compatible with PS3... Then we can get lots more gamers... It's not going to be exclusive, but I have a friend that likes how l2 looks and played until about lvl 20, but likes his PS3 more. He says if L2 was on PS3 he would play it all the time.
So I understand not having L2, but using the unreal 3 engine (for Lineage 3) and re-encoding it for PS3 might be worth it! It will bring a boost to the NA market, and defiantly the Japanese market since PC gaming isn't as popular as console gaming there.
Me hogging the computer room is one thing. If I were to hog the only tv in the house my wife would kill me. I mean it to.....she showed me the knife and everything.
Higly doubht L2 will be PS3 compatible ever, but consider that they licensed they UE3 engine, AND that UE3 engine works fine on Xbox 360/PS3 well yeah :)
It's not really as simple as "UE3 works on ps3". They spent a *huge* effort making UT3 compatible on both platforms. If I remember correctly, one of the devs worded it as "we completely killed ourselves bringing it to the PS3".
actually will be amazing playing L2 in my PS3 (it has mouse and keyboard USB ports), but is the ps3 enough for that game, I mean it needs a giga ram right? and the ps3 has only 256

Actually I post that now, due to changes in L2, 1st of all now is free (they were never interested in console to keep monthly payments) and the latest patch open lot of options (like for different OSs), before that was unthinkable, so I could give that "noob" sentence back to some one who really is.

In this case, a "noob" is someone that digs up a 5 year old post that is irrelevant and comments on how great something is that doesn't actually exist. You think an 8 year old game is going to console because it went Free to Play? In the 5 years since the original post, nothing has been said anywhere that this game will be offered on a PS3 format or any other console format. Enjoy waiting with your crappy TV. LCD is the better TV for gaming.
