I Figured It Out!

So after thinking for a little bit, I figured out a good argument to the sense of entitlement we see in L2. Actually, I saw it on a friend's blog post, and thought "Hey, maybe this applies..."

i rather think that since most of us are so poor in game that weve become greedy and selfish IRL.
Fox...figures.
I knew of Mr. Rogers growing up, as well as Captain Kangaroo, Sesame Street and even Romper Room. I thought Rogers was creepy, even as a kid, and I didn't get the point of using puppets and fake creatures to teach me anything.

I felt sorry for any kid who was encouraged or forced to watch any of those shows. My mother wouldn't allow it. She grew up without a TV, so naturally, she didn't see the point of educating her children through that medium.

So many lazy parents happily plop their kids down in front of a TV or a video game, and go about their adult concerns. That is the generation that they should worry about: Generation Detached.

I actually agree with your statement. But then I thought about the irony of this coming from a guy who has spent 3 years devoted to the same video game and has racked up 1500+ posts on a forum.

:) :) :) :)

LOL. Yeah. Fox, Murdoch, do the math.
Seriously... blaming the dumbing down of youth on Mr. Rogers? What about big bird, or the cookie monster? Fox news, they just say the funniest things.
waste of internet space imo.
"Oh..I set kitty on fire..it must be because my mom didn't make me breakfast this morning and I'm SPECIAL."

Just once I'd like someone to say take RESPONSIBILITY for their own actions and say "I ruined my OWN life because I decided to be a [crack head, lazy slob, criminal, etc]" rather than blame EVERYONE else around them for their problem.

Too true, in fact i'd say this report is the same crap. Bad parenting is bad parenting, by the same token though, you can't blame your parents for the entirety of you being a screw up.
