I don't know about the other servers but on Bartz yesterday afternoon one of our so-called "Heroes" shouted out the names of all the characters that die in the new Harry Potter book. He immediately got a pile of nasty pm's but I think something should be done by NC for this. He pretty much ruined the story for a lot of folks..

Ah, that's so childish and stupid... same thing happened to me with a few major spoilers before, but it's also interesting to read the book with that kind of knowledge in mind, looking for the hints et cetera.

Totally serious. According to my clan mate, the list of the dead pretty much let him figure out the whole story. He said it's really going to take the fun out of reading the book.

It's a known fact that the book has already been leaked out, and I really don't appreciate being called an idiot just because I'm upset with what he did. If your going to flame then go somewhere else where that's all they do, like l2blah. Wether I believe him or not is not the point of this thread. This is not something that a so-called hero should be doing with Hero shout. But then that's not so unusual anyway is it? and if he is correct, then he just ruined the story and the experience for how many people? ....that's the "mean" part...

Purposefully spoiling anything for someone is just plain malicious, be it a movie, a book, or anything else someone is looking forward to enjoying. I see it as no different than any other kind of harassment, which I take very seriously. This thread has brought up a very valid concern, thank you. I'll be adding a global forum rule to protect those who visit these forums from such spoilers.
