i assume he means scripting (kinda bastardized c+ i think)
best bet is to google one of the many irc script sites and download and view whatever you can get your hands on
dont bother joining a scripting channel and asking for help cause i can tell you from experience they dont seem to like that ><
Yea, Ive heard that they usually arent very happy about noobs, but come on, you gotta learn sometime...
Its very standard coding in text in C language. But Im going to university, and I just wanna learn. Faster, easier and more fun to speak with people than browsing through 3454222 pages of google :)
I'm confused, are you talking about writing apps in C or writing IRC scripts?
If it's the latter, I've been scripting in mIRC for nearly 10 years, so drop me a line if you need some pointers. In terms of C for apps/dlls etc, sorry, not a clue.
C have never been a friendly do noobs, secondly it's neither a script language, Java, Java Script, Phyton and so on is script languages on other hand.
Myself wouldn't recommend learning C in the end, it's a very old and dated language right now, put your time into C++ rater I would say, if you ever need to code in C you most likely will have no problem after learning C++ anyway.
As for IRC channels, most peoples don't like being messed around with stuff like that, your better of finding some C/C++ oriented forums and ask questions there.
Anyhow I recommend this board: http://cboard.cprogramming.com/ but keep in mind that you 100% follow there guidelines before you make a post or you won't be long lived there.
