According to the L2Blah July 18th Patch notes from the Korean CT1 test server, there will be an NPC that can buff you prior to the commencement of your match.
Further, there will be a 10sec startup period whereby you will be unable to see your apponent until the match starts.
What are your thoughts, if this information is correct?
Always thought it was a cheat to interfere with other guy before the fight actually started, so this I think is a good change.
Dunno what buffs the npc gives but if its only the npc buffs you can take then that sounds good too....as long as they are fair about it. Currently anyone can cheat the buff system by taking the right weapon in with em with the right sa anyhow.
If they wanna really make it about skill then they should make it so everyone goes in naked and picks weapons and armor from an npc. That way it isn't down to who has the biggest credit card or group of friends with credit cards.

Whats the big deal? now you can chose your buffs, it will probably be almost the same as what we have now, but you have to choice to take which ever buff you want.
I guess this will mean that we (viewers) will have an even tougher time, checking to see who's in what arena and everything, before the matches start. It's already a pain in the [censored], as it is. I was actually hoping for improvements for viewers.
This is all i care about :p I won't ever participate myself.
