Spammer in Hinde GM online now plz Urgent

Hi, if any GMs are on, we need you on Hinde server now.
A spammer called TheDreamisshown is flooding the Giran town with dodgy shouts

... for hours, and I guess lots of people have reported him by now (and, well, the shouts are both offensive AND obviously not made with the normal game client...)

Ok, but I only just logged on and saw it so another cry for help won't hurt, I hope.
**** people make me sick and atleast the censuring is working because his shouts are in bad taste from what I could see.

Three hours later and shes still standing there.
Most of us used the /block command but its not really the point.

Maybe this is a call for active in-game GM's.... ;) Finally.

Better not restrain my ban hammer in any which way though. You can bet it'll be flaying faster then a Tyrant on speed on all the automated groups and eBaybies. :)

I've stopped including any information in my petitions. You get stuff like:

/gm pqoweijtpqowi adena sales pm, ban him

and

/gm thedreamisshown is spamming in giran, i'm offended.

I was amazed that it took about 6 hours before that shout-bot was finally taken down. Doesn't anyone actually login to check things out? I love this game but that was a horrible demonstration of lack of support.

The only reasion I can see it taking so long to ban those bots is they did a quick IP trace and find the bots to be in NA or Euro. So they had to leave him up and running untill they were able to get the cops involved. I am sure they don't take threats to staff members lightly.

That or NCNA needs to stop letting the auto GM reply run the game and hire a few live GM's.

Police? If they plan to take the threats as they are, them yes. But if they want to get rid of spammers, smack them with rule no.1 "all your game data are belong to us" and do what is written in TOS: they can stop the service for them without need for any explanation.
Wonder if method #2 is not better at this time :( How long does some IP racing take anyway? Milliseconds?

read recently that Nc Na employees over 150 Gms for Lineage 2 alone<game informer> ....glad to see they all took an early <24hour 365 days a year> break

i'd say NC was taking appropriate legal action but i think i know better

Why would let them to continue? Are Cops going to break into the place and take down the machine? I'm sure NCSoft keeps logs of every thing including the IP address and chat logs. Doesn't make sense to me to let it continue..

Really? I have been thinking that there are no live GM's keeping an eye out of what is happening in any of the NA servers.
If there are.. man someone should take a look at what theya re doing (playing poker and pron surfing probably).
Another thing official Line][age could learn from how it's done on priv servers.

Yeah, and 150 of them are working only during Tuesdays maintenance period :p

If it's the same company I'm thinking it is, they display that info for quite a lot of games right now - LOTRO, Anarchy Online and so on ...

Hehe yeah, I took a sneak peek to that site after those PMs started and I saw that one too. Were they "outPMed" by competition? :D

Well I sent a petition about this guy and I know several clan members did too and he was still shouting the same crap many hours later.

So what we all want to know is does the petition system work or is it just a front? It was interesting to see we all got the same automated response to the petitions and absolutely nothing was done
