well if u remember the c4 pts when it got "hax" the kid was making +65566 or something weapons..so i'd guess thats the limit. and i think their might be a higher AOBA in korea.
There is no limit... Why would there be many things over +20 in Korea and we would be capped at 20 in NA? People have gone over 20 in the PTS as well, they don't change those settings.

no they didnt.
enchant scrolls did not exist except as drops and from mammon. mammon showed up during the last 2 weeks of PTS. so you can try to lie to me, but you would not be successful.

Im sorry maybe you're just new to this game and havent played other PTS before, i believe it was C4 where bunnies and mobs spawned around town all dropping enchants, aswell as many +15/16 weapons which allowed people to easily try for 20+.

Right, with the GM client the max value is like +65535, whether there is a cap on official when using enchant scrolls, or just the sheer impossibility of it, I don't know.

you can talk out of your butt as much as you like, Insanity. because youre insane. those bunnies happened in Chaos week - on the LAST day.
nobody enchanted diddly and to say otherwise would put you so far over believeable you would be ignored.
I like that it has an additional passive to increase critical attack rate. I'd still cringe, though, from having to carry all of that SS around, even with Tallum Heavy.
I think it's time that NCSoft adjusted the OE rates slightly, especially when you consider that for C and B grade weapons it's easy to get the SA crystals from the Lux shop. Might as well make it easier for dual wielders to get to +4 at those grades, too.

ive also been around longer than you have.
I played on c4 PTS as well, and I swear I remember enchants going around like MAD during chaos week, not just the last day from bunnies. There were small clusters of group mobs (angels, etc) that dropped tons of stuff, including LOADS of enchant scrolls, plenty of which were blessed. Not to mention all of the random raids spawning everywhere. Core was more or less a constant deal. o.O I think it's very possible people were overflowing with enchants. :P I blew up so many weapons, it's ridiculous...most I managed was +9 SoM. *sigh* I think that was the most fun PTS for me, lots of GM interaction spawning mobs and making PK runs with insane stats and gear, chaos week was busy busy! ^.^
Anyhow, point being... scrolls were a'plenty, so it's likely people achieved some high numbers on enchants. But I don't think there were any +++weapons dropped. I know SA'd weapons were dropping, but I never saw a +++weapon drop. :/
Not to hyjack, but GM events are by far the most fun moments in MMO's, and far too rare. Those of you who share the early UO days will probably recall quite a few. They stand out as the best memories of "fun" I've ever had in games.
I would imagine it would be a blast for the GM's too. Taking the form of a Dragon, or whatever, spawning all sorts of cool mobs; laying siege to typically calm cities.
Why would anyone, in their sane minds would be posting stuff from Private Servers on these forums?
Anyone though of that?
Well if you read the first post it wasn't the original posters weapon. It was copied from Blah. So that alone leads to suspect.
However I don't think private servers have interlude yet so I would think the augment makes the pic legit unless photo edited (which I don't think it looks like).
Well, no acumen... but superb festival/powerlevel weapon. Or of course as a polearm ... But it might be an interesting healer weapon as a Yaksa Mace with health. :o
the real question is why the IDIOT has it as a SLS and not a mage weapon for a 260ish matk weapon...
Probably because the owner isn't a mage. I have seen this weapon and it has an orange glow to it. Definitely doesn't look anything like a +16 (which is very red). It could be the augment that's done that but unless I see another augmented +16 to compare it with I can't really say.
And yes, they are now shouting to sell it as a +22.
If I see the person again I'll try to grab a screenshot. Shouldn't be too hard as the toon is in Giran a lot.

on a spellsinger WITHOUT Acumen on a weapon i can still cast for like 1300 cast speed so when i have 3k+ matk does it really matter? lol that item would be absolutely SICK on a sps

My 2 cents
Yep, private servers have interlude alright. Just do a search if you want and you'll see how many of those are already interlude.
L2J manages to launch their current version like 2 weeks after NCSoft launches theirs. I have no clue HOW they do that, but they do.
Back in topic, I've always thought there was a cap limit as well... never heard of a +22 weapon, but again, I don't really care that much about that kind of thing either :)
lol you wont get neither a +10 drac bow or a +10 FB for that wep. witch is a lot more usefull then a +22 Cgrade wep.
I find a highly enchanted C grade weapon to be useful. A +22 homu or +22 top C could one shot most mobs at C and B grade (nuker), maybe. The mp savings will more than makeup for having to port to town for restocking. If I have a 2nd account then I'll pack a mule and lead it to a safe spot where I would xp. Also it can be exchanged for any other c grade weapon (except duals) and will be useful for rerolls and subclassing.
mattack does close to nothing to nuker damage. what you can do with a +22 wep you could prolly do with a +10 wep.
I still oneshoted stuff on my sps at lvl55 so...
but yea, a hom+22 would prolly be the only Cgrade wep worth using even at higher lvls.
Still a +10Agrade wep would have more pattack then a +22 Cgrade wep. and looks a lot cooler. and rerolls stay in Cgrade just for a day or 2, and a feew more days in B, then they can use Agrade already. no ty, I dont want a red C grade wep.
+16 and +22 has the exact same glow. no more no less, and its red.
Not correct. +18 and +22 - almost correct.
+17 still not completely red. +18 - only red, then increasing intensity till +20. Other colors for enchant - not stated, maybe it takes +20's color when one goes more than +20.
+22 Eleptical sword (or whatever that top c weapon is) is 234matk, top S grade mage weapon is 175matk, you'd be pretty hard press to think "i'll just drop my insane matk weapon for 1/3 less matk A grade, or 1/4 less matk then s grade.
Matk has a HUGE impact on overall stats, you plop a standard homu on a lvl 60+ SH or Sourcer or anything, and the matk won't be ALL that bad, but still not great, drop a +10 homu on them and they really get a boost, drop a +16 homu on them and it's almost rediculious, i'd suspect a +22 homu (which would be obviously less then that of the top c) would make a +16 look pretty cruddy..

It's because the server code changes very little (at least that's what I'm told, and until CT1 I'm sure).
I have seen this weapon and it has an orange glow to it.
I might be wrong.. but doesn't weps over +20 glow green?
Only on the private servers
Weapons have a ton of glow effects included in the client but L2 doesn't use them. It's how all the private servers get the different colors and effects (like flaming swords).

are you sure? cuz on my computer I cant se any difference on a +16 and a +18 (+18 is the highest I have seen) and i do know others that have seen higher ones and they say its the same glow. never ever heard someone say the glow is different. not on original servers.
About the M.attack. yes, ofc the m.attack goes up a lot, but have you ever checked how much m.attack affect the damage? most of the damage comes from the spell (lvl of spell) and not from your m.attack.
Some time ago I saw someone doing all the math here on the forums, comparing M.attack and p.attack difference on OE weapons, and a +16 weapon raised the damage of the spell with like 12% or something, if my memory serves me right. +22 would be what, 17-18% ?
getting 75% inreased m.atack does NOT mean you will do 75% more damage.
A/SG with SA gives a flat +5% pvp damage, witch count for a lot of extra +++++ on a OE Cgrade weapon.
and for PvE? sure, if you like to go to town every hour to restock, sure, go ahead.
I've seen the damage difference between a +16 homu and a +3 SoM, the homu seriously cuts down on the number of times you have to cast..
so while you think that there will be several trips made to town to restock, i think the actual result will be about the same, more kills with the higher enchanted weapon due to less spells needed to kill = less BSPS usage, which then translates to less need to restock....
in some cases, i would guess that a +22 homu would probably manage to one shot a mob where as a normal weapon would require 3 shots.... making the whole Restocking deal a bit of a stretch..

sorry to wake you from your dream, but thats not true, and never will. +22 Cgrade does NOT tripple your damage output o.O it will faaaaar from double it!
just checked some stats, but couldent find the formula for calculating mattack ---> damage.
but, I check how much m.attack a homu +20 will give compared to a +3 som.
with nuker tats (+4str+4wit+4int) and DC robes and prophet buffs + emp 3, +20 homu will give about 1500 mattack. a SOM+3 gives about 1150. soo, considering mattack is calculated in squar (dunno how to spell it sorry) those 350 more mattack is about nothing. even if your damage was calculated on your m.attack ONLY, you did only have a increase of 30% damage. but this is not the case, cuz m.attack is only part of the calculation, the spell has a base-damage witch is a huge part of the damage.
Im sure someone can give us the real formula and fill in the numbers (I couldent find it)
but how can you make a 3-shot into a 1-shot? if you search, I guess you can one-shot white, maybe pink mobs instead of green ones. thats it.
how often is there a nuker running around without Emp 3 and any other magic enhanceing buffs applied?
As buffs are added up, the difference in matk and the amount of damage dilivered is increased significantly, i've seen a lvl 62 sourcers matk buffed with a +16 homu, it's quite enourmous... i think a +16 homu has 198matk correct? How bout caculate in a 234matk that a top C +22 should have.

Did i miss something? If you read my post I actualy sayd it was calculated with prophet buffs and EMP 3. sure, there are POW and Dances, but thats not the most common buffs for a nuker. (at very high lvls, yes, and in big groups, yes) but still, you will never ever se a 3shot mob beeing killed in 1shot. unless a critt.
im not 100% sure, but not even with every **** buff in game your nukes wont do twice the damage of a nuke with a +3 som.
If your suposedly friends can 1shot something that is normaly a 3shot, gratz, he is using some kind of exploit, and I hope he will get banned. or you should check your facts again, cuz its not possible.
Dude, just do a test yourself. shot a feew mobs without empower3, and check your damage. buff enpower, witch raises your m.attack more then any ++++ weapon could do, then hit a feew more mobs.
yes, you will do "a lot" more damage, but is it twice as much? no. faar away from it.
