I was in the Town of Schuttgart at 4am last night, wondering I was doing up so late again :D when in walks several characters. Just thought this screenshot says all that need be said.
Wow. Like a race of undead or something coming out at night. I am on the same server, and for some reason, probably luck, I haven't run into the "undead", or much of anything else, in Schuttgart, but I've never been on in that town during those kinds of hours.
If thier still using trial accounts to farm stuff, then they must be dumping stuff on the floor to transfer items. I'll have to camp some of our automated friends one of these days, and see if I can get any free goodies.

posting Names and calling people bots is against forum rules. those people (as much as they are eula breakers) do have rights and are entitled to specific protections in this forum. this post would have been better made in the Bot Suggestions thread in the Technical forum.

Most of the time they are mostly busy hidden around the Crypts of Disgrace. There's a little corner and a little hidden where there are those ghost mobs. They spoil CBP, adamantite nuggets, and EWD. Pretty nice spoils for a very low level and very easy to kill mob. Very nice rate on the CBP spoil.

Read my post again. I didn't call any one any thing. I posted a picture I thought spoke for itself. I called the picture "Obvious". You interpret, that is what art is for. Are they obviously friends, cousins, hummm... I wonder.

until such time as this game no longer required smart people to teach noobs the line between videogame addiction and fun interesting play, i will continue to post.
I love those guys. Sometimes I go to Gludio and train those guards way out into the field where the other guards are out of target... then I kill them. The guard disappears... and the bots are left idle in the middle of nowhere.

the very fact that every single person here can look at that pic and know exactly what they are is a testament to how easy it is to identify them

Maybe...but when you see 10 of them repeatedly dying to a guard and always following the exact same path to it...I think that's more than enough. NC knows I've died enough to the guards to be able to tell a bot deleveling from a live player doing the same in under 2 min.
Same for bots in the 'wild'....when player XYZ stops underneath a mob stuck in a tree for the 5th time and waits there for another 5....It's hard to assume reasonable doubt.
You do know that if you make an attack macro towards each of the guards, you'll follow the same pathes as well, right?
That just means you have a straight line to the Guard...not stop at the exact same waypoint halfway there, turn run to the guard, wait 5 seconds and then attack.
And please, macroing a guard? Macros and targetting break often enough in normal use, most towns random restart points are spread out enough and behind enough corners/obstacles that you aren't able to 'just' macro a single guard from each spawn point.
You could macro the command to attack the guard...but the entire "not-a-straight-line" path to him? I'm not buying that one.

have to remmber one thing there are about 2 to 3 people that are ncsoft moles. they will attack any ideal or twist it around to make you look like the bad guy. your post is valid and good.
If you read my comments in the automated player treads you can spot the anti contstructive people when it comes to talking about a real problem.
Oh I agree the "path point" one isn't consistantly doable.
But straight point is very doable, even when there's obstacles. When I delevel in Dion, I just make an attack macro to all 4 guards, I can even do the pathpoint like movement, by simply clicking to attack another guard with the macro. When there's obstacles, simply click the attack macro enough times and you'll "clip" through the obstacle.
Every once in a blue moon I will kill the guards at one of the entrances to Dion or Gludio and watch the dorfs pile up. 3 or 4 months ago I had like 50 of the little guys all standing around waiting for a guard to spawn.
GM's should have an action button called "Live Ban!" and "Live Party Ban!" to use when they see things like that.. instant ban and automated e-mail sent to the owner of the acc + a just taken screen shot of the crime.
i cant find the screenie during the lat Xmas event, when the item drops looked like present boxs, i was lvling my Gf's brandy dadny new scavy out in the northwestern part of te dwarven village area...some player character left ALL the event items on the ground....imagin and snow covered field of only presents...it was rather fiting for the season i suppose...
