This post is to moderators and GM's, and to show my disappointment on how slow things go to take some action on botters.

Really. You'd think that after 150,000 bannings people from NCNA would get a clue that GMS are doing their jobs and they do it well. But no... we get these threads.
well, actualy, GMs SHOULD scout around looking for bots more then they do now...
As an example, I have been trying to grind in 70++ catas lately, and the past week I have found 0 free rooms, and 0 live players.
Its realy frustrating. and would take me hours to report them, witch i dont have.
I belive a lot of people have quit going down there, cuz its simply to hard to get a room. no mobs to train with, and PKing isent worth it.
So, if none goes down there, who am suposed to report the bots? Its not Like im going down there for 1-2h just to report bots. If a GM did a round in all catas once every 2 days or so, they could ban a lot of bots way faster.
but yea, this is old story, and it will never happen..

let me adequatley point out how completely moronic that would be, for just a moment; lets pretend you have a clan. you go out 9vX'ing wartags when all of a sudden POOF 3/4 of your own party go byebye never to be seen from again. wartags come along pwn you and in the 3 shots it took to take you down they also all poofed.

not exaggerating. if GM's had free reign like server police over the server there might not be a single person left playing in a month. all because hey are allowed the freedom to do as they pleased with our accounts.
thankfully they are allowed to do as they please but they reserve that for the head GM's; and lets take a stab at why EULA enforcement to the infinite degree isnt so great for HGM's....

absolute power corrupts absolutely - true in L2 just as much as in RL. dont preach "Gms must use ethics and morals and blah blah" cause handing them the "ban whoever you deem breaking the ToS" card is signing a blank cheque over to a convicted felon.
And rocking that ganje... because having GMs roam around and look for bots to investigate instead of relying on petitions would not have such a dramatic change on the way botting is handled.
What authority? What abuse? This is their job. Whether they click a button and search for names to investigate or sift through the petitions (most of which are BS anyways).... I see no reason why this would ever change the way they handle botters. You make it seem like walking around ingame would give them the authority to ban people for suspicion alone. Banning them on the spot. It makes no sense at all.
Hmm... a thought just occurred to me. If GMs where visible and roaming around... this might actually stop botters. Even if it is a fake/ decoy.... I do honestly think it would scare people straight!

On Erica I pked each bot party (probably all of them were 2 member parties - tank/nuker with healer/recharger) and some responded back with angry responses lol when they came back :D My job has been accomplished.. I am going to do it again once I have under 5 pks though - red with a clan tag with more than 5 pks is not a good idea.

When logic fails... back out with a faux sense of superiority! You have yet to explain how roaming around and jotting down names instead of responding to petitions will lead to GM tyranny.

And it is nearly impossible to level there, only If I have luck and some bots are lieing dead on the ground I have a chance to have fun there.
(and no I can not kill them, because as an ES it is evil to become red and remove the Karma. And killig them is like killing mosquitos in a swamp region. There are allways more there like you can kill).

I like this ideal, we bust drivers that take bank robbers to the bank lol. Simple solution get them to talk, if they cant hold a small conversation kick them the **** outa here.

Yes, banning farmers involves cults, racism, English lit, and the study of warfare throughout history. My God that is pure, unadulterated genius. I want to have my eyes opened like yours are. No, no no...you're exactly right. This isn't about bots. There are bigger issues and this is all connected. No one else ever thought about that or they simply couldn't grasp the issue as thoroughly as you have. If you'll excuse me I am going to "grow some brains" and read up on racism and English literature to sort this bot problem out.

You still seem to be avoiding giving an explanation of how a GM would become power-mad and start banning people with impunity if he/she were to wander known botting spots ingame rather than relying on petitions, bearing in mind they have a process to follow when evaluating bot behaviour which, I understand, involves confirmation of the suspect behaviour by another GM.
alright, bhod, for you and Jacent, let me break it down.
let play pretend for a moment: pretend the GM's were free of the restrictions they have now and were allowed to explore the servers and work at the same time - the only requisite is they must ban someone to show they have been working.
there are two ways the GM might respond to this new method of control:

well, as i said before, youre handing a known criminal a blank cheque. in the methods of control previously contrived, the GMs were powerless without proof that would hold up in court. now they have been given the means and the license to act on any instance of casual swearing.
how does Racism english lit and Occultism fall into this?
in earth's recent past racism put tyrants in places of power. case in point ****** (and the reference to Gestapoing the server). if you read any of the works of Shakespeare you would see people with power killing at will or killing in the name of superiority. I can see where Spud is coming from. I gather from web sites covering MMOs that one of the bigger games has had some charges of corruption and/or favoritism leveled against it. However, when whole fields and dungeons are taken up by armies of the soulless ones, many players are not gonna worry that stricter enforcement might lead to other problems.

Bots have always been there.. 1, 2 party's.. here or there..
But now they are every where! Different party's (sure from different owners) at the same spot.. trying to kill the same mob!
Not to mention the not farmer bots.. I will not mention names.
I even have seen bots that were hunting near blazing swamp (lvl 54-56 mobs), that I had petitioned them before, moving to Forsaken and still there until now! They still online for more then 3 months! (the time I took to go from 56 to 64. and yes, still good xp at lvl 64 in forsaken)
names like: lineagea, lineageww lineage0 etc..
There should be, I don't know, a team of 2 or 3 GMs, to deal exclusively with bot petition. Especially with calls like this one that I'm doing. And i think it is really important.. it is your costumer satisfaction with your product, L2.

Crazy name players in party, doing the same thing for days without any stop, same time to rebuff, same place to rest.. not saying a word, nor responding anyone, not attacking back when u attack them. Even someone that's new to the game can tell they are bots!
I'm not making a thread to ban some only guy, thats in some far far away place hunting 1 ore 2 kinds of mob, that has a clan tag.. no. I made this thread cause i really got ****** this time to see how OBVIOUS bots don't get banned for over 3 months and still online, placing theirs chars where real players are hunting and not giving a [censored] about it.
I know thats not new. Been happening since always.. but.. if you guys don't care about loosing your spots to bots, I do. And to complain is a right that i got, or am I wrong? As petitions do not work at all I had to try something else, like the official boards.
Things like this really make me think twice about logging and try to play.. and thats the first step for me to quit L2.
I'm not happy at all with the game by now.. have petitioned about it, but nothing is done. I think the L2 team should care more about their players opinions and their demands.
If your company can make the most annoying and demanding costumer, a satisfied one, you can be sure you're doing a great job. I don't see that coming from NC. And I think I'm not the only one thats mad about bots.
