I'm not sure where to post this, but it seems as though someone [programmer] got confused about where he was at. The main priest at the temple Tetrarch Thielien? lists info for 2d class transfer when its supposed to be [and is] information for 1st class transfer. I know it, but how many newbies will know it? Also, he gives out bizarre rewards for quests for this level--a red soul crystal at level 9? an enchant armor scroll for D lvl armor to below lvl 20 characters [although that particular quest goes to lvl 26]. That's what I've noticed so far...
They REALLY need to go over the lvl 1-40 quests and remodel/shape/fix them.
Considering that some of these rewards not only makes it waisted time, but actually turns people off even bothing to quest.
I mean, @ lvl 15, getting some 1000xp and 100sp and 250adena for doing a quest is pretty laughable. (example)...
If anything the quest definitely need to be reviewed, if i'm a lvl 15 toon, and i do a quest, depending on the length of time it would take to do it, and the expensives incurred for teleports and materials or whatnot, should be at the very least fully reinbursed as well as a pretty decent chunk of cash and xp/sp and even top NG equipment to choose from.
@ lvl 20+, no one should be doing a quest where the rewards are No Grade crap, at least d grade, 25+ should be getting into the top d grade stuff. XP SP adena sums for that lvls should be in the 100,000, 10,000, 250,000 ranges.

IMO
Unless you are willing to work very hard you shouldn't be getting top D grade at level 25. If you just hunt mobs and do nothing else you will be in NG to 30+. Quests shouldn't give you items which can wear automatically. Base Mats are good rewards (people who are unwilling to learn the game can NPC them, everybody else can sell them to PCs), as is the Pet.

Ageed, the game isnt actually designed for you to be in the current grade right when you get the ability to use it. Ever wonder why mats and recs for top grade stuff drops of mobs with lvls halfway through the next grade up? High end NG is acutally a very fitting lvl 20 quest reward. I remember lvling in my 50's the first time having jsut got top d grade at 48. (and there was almost no one with full C grade sets or TOP C weapons.) If I remember right, first people into their 70's were still in C.
Point is, this is a clanbased system, u need to go out hunting with ur clan (killing higher lvl mobs) and get the mats/keymats that are needed to create ur gear.
It is supposed to be a challenge...
for example i remember a few clans in C1, where members were in B grade already (with D grade textures ofcourse), thanks to planning and working together as a clan should do.
And yes, quest rewards were always a low, but they did increase the rewards over the chronicles (around C3/C4 ?)
I never seen any good quest rewards in any MMO, except Rappelz, where it is just dumb not to quest, because that is the key to lvl the fastest way in that game (until u r high lvl, then its grind grind grind)
I remember how friggin ugly avadon robes looked on all classes, like a rag :-S.
And COmposite looked like a leather amor and and...
Ah well, the further up we go the better the graphics, kudos for that. (too bad there's no friggin optimization involved (or non that i see) as the game moves bad on a very good comp..)
