I just want to thank you guys(as well as everyone in NCNA) for the event you've brought out. No sarcasm, no scrunity, nothing negative, just a humble "thanks".

nope the event sucks, since it came at the same time as the new trail codes, so u have event items farmas around every town with ramdom "smash ure head on the keyboard names" like " afdsgaxg" "xfgkjk" "fueztw" 2sfhsgjg" and so on
just shows that nc wants more bots in game
i serously want to know how many trail account got activated when the event started and how many of the will stay activated after the 7 days, probaly none or just a handfull will stay activated
No matter what NC does, it won't 'appease' everyone.
For the longest time, people were moaning that the Noob towns are empty.........they sure aren't now. Even besides the autopilots, there are quite a few real people hunting pigs there cause all you need is 2.5k Adena and a lvl 1 char.
People were always complaining that Economy sucks, well, now scrolls are cheap and everyone can afford to buy/sell them.
People were moaning that due to Augmentations, people don't buy/craft much weapons/armors, well, a whole bunch of people now have blown through bunches of armor/weapons, so go go crystals, hence go go crafter dorfs.
People can just farm the apigas and sell. The ones who lazy to farm apigas just buy them from who ever sells the cheaper, etc, etc,
Yes, there are a bunch of named '12321fareag' but so what, do they keep you from killing pigs? Or you lost your ability to churn a profit from the pigs?
It's even fun for me trying to compete with the autopilots to see if I could KS their pig, get the apiga with half the work I'd normaly need to kill one.
Killin pigs in and of itself is a fun break from the daily grind.

What Gandi was saying was that this whole event drives the "black market" and it easily could have been prevented. Since it wasn't, it was obviously intentional and meant to "appease/stimulate" the "black market."
doing the trial accounts at the same time was a bad decision.
I have seen at least three 'real nubs', and I know that the winnings from the event will see them through their D and possibly throughout C Grade - they won't get caught on the 'just 10 mil to start me off' ebay trap, they won't get caught on the 'omg how am I supposed to afford D grade' reaction. They will have money to work with in making more money for their B Grade.
Yes, as far as bots were concerned, that was honestly sucky. However, at least on Lionna, it was easily possible to hunt plenty of Apiga fairly undisturbed, and that is what counts.
The little bit I participated (busy busy with other games and school work) I greatly enjoyed, and I know my boyfriend was all over it. :)

If you say so. I have a noobie in my clan who can't figure out how to get back a weapon she "lent" to her trial account. She can't drop it, warehouse it, sell it to a pc, or trade it.
The only up side to trial accounts for our automated friends is that they get to find out if they're going to be banned before they actually pay for the account... But if they are trial accounts, then all those banned have the fruits of their labor disappear as well.
Why is it so hard for some people to understand that the current trial accounts cannot: trade, use private shops, join clans, use warehouses or use shouts. The hordes of light elf bots everywhere are the same bot accounts usually running in other places, not trial accounts.

Great Event IMO no matter what ppl say. And as of the "who know who? You see them around any other day.... yeah maybe the booty should have not been tradeable but thats all...

We got 3 new members in academy, who are on trial accounts and wish to stay. And they all enjoy the pig event. Imagine, how it is to get an EWB for a level 15 char :)
Well, sure, there are things to complain about, but to me this event was a gold mine, and i can say i really don't have to worry about most of B grade after it (i was already playing the market and hauling in a profit from selling overpiced materials because dusk won :o). But it's shaping along fine now.
Kudos for the event, Even thou i got bored out of my wits with killing pigs now :(. Will probably still kill them as it is quite addictive (no matter how boring from a certain point).
Addiction always sets in with a "lottery" especially as you ALWAYS win (the lest you could get are some scrolls but STILL!!), not like other events where you could get something or just the shaft :p.

Not really, what has been happening is if you really looking they are in a group with 1 regular account that is picking up everything, "Finders Keepers" party set up.
I do agree this is a great event. It does help out the new players and players that were stuggling to get the gear for D and C grade. And even help with some B grade items.
Kudos Event Team and the GM Team for booting the Souless.

I filed a bunch of petitions actually, and I got the automated response "if we can prove beyond a resonable doubt...." I have two words for that... [censored] you. Tell ya what, I'LL QUIT and the bots can stay.
per Alyra, that is so you know they are received it. I also take screenshots and at the end of the day send to the PlayNC (http://www.plaync.com) support as well so they can see that I may have did typos with the "Alphabets on Parade"
I watched a "leader" of the souless crew opening a buy-shop, buying apigas and booty's for 1a each, and all the asdfghhjj's came running to him and sold/gave away/traded their hard earned apigas/bootys to him, so they have found a way around that "no-trading-stuff" restrictions :(.
BUT nevertheless, i luuv this event....already made 60m+ on it :)
This event is a lot of fun, I've had a blast doing it. There is an easy way to fix the bot problem with these events: Make all the stuff you get during the event, such as Apiga, untradeable, unsellable, and unbuyable, unfreightable.
In other words - have them go to your Quest Inventory and not your normal inventory. They don't drop, they just show up there. Whatever you get from it is yours and can't be be traded, dropped, sold, bought, freighted.
That would give you a bot free event. And one that is there solely for the fun of doing it, not making money at it. I would actually like to see that, and it would truly make the items you get from it special. Everyone knows that the event item you have on was earned by that player, not bought, not botted.

In a nutshell - this event during trials is GREAT for noobs. It makes the starter towns look more alive (who wants to play an empty server?) and it starts them off w/ a load of cash.
I am one trial account that will be purchasing the game. Once I sell all this stuff, I'll probably have made 15+ mil adena. Pretty good for someone who's not even level 10 yet.

Assumptions, assumptions, assumptions.
Do this, get yourself a Temp account, and try to Trade/Buy/Set up buy/sell shop. Then come back and post your findings.

Yeah, it's almost as if that topic is a large part of the game and has been for years that NCSoft has never been unwilling/able to solve.
Honestly, I don't care what the trial accounts can or can't do. One way or anothere there are tons of naked Elves/Orcs/Dwarfs in almost every town and they are more automated than "Remy". Whatever NCSoft-NA is doing...the farmers are completely undeterred.
Fun event. Great rewards. Obscenely horrific execution.
I don't think he is saying the trials are setting up a shop or trading, they are selling to a real accounts buy shop for 1 adena.
Trial accounts cannot use buy/sell shops. If you try to open up somebody's buy/sell shop you get a system message - "This account cannot use that feature." I know this for a fact because up until today, I was a trial account.
And as for people saying that the farmers are working in pairs with a real account picking up - I have seen a lot farmers during this event and very few of them have been working in pairs, which leads me to believe they're either really stupid (using trial accounts only to get the items stuck on it) or are using real, paid-for accounts. I'd tend to believe the latter.
I promise you, if you put something or pick something up on a trial account - it's stuck on that account until you purchase it.
i found some 5 new noob players in the last couple weeks. i havent been hanging around noob towns as much as i used to, but it seems lately every time i am there, there is some new player trying to learn the ropes.
I agree. The trial accounts are get for getting new blood into the game. As a matter of fact, we do have a new member from a trial account from WoW. That's right. I was in a party with him when he dropped out so we did not know what was going on. TBH, I thought he DC'ed. lol. Anyway. It is great to see new players in game.
Great Job NCSoft. This event is great with or without the bots.
