I'd just like to say that the GMs were on the case today on TI on Hinde.
I reported a new batch of Bots, standing in readiness at the gates. Within ten mins of the petition, one by one they disappeared. Then more at the next gate also went.
10/10 in response !
I have no way of knowing where they ported if they did.
I'm sure they were booted by the GM as I shouted in game because of the one petition at a time and my shout was duly actioned :P
The masters of the soulless don't like it when you make a loud fuss and will either logout or go somewhere else. On petitions I find my mileage varies. I typically list a lot of names on the petition. Now I screenshot my petition. Sure enough most of those listed are back the next day. Orc village is so nasty there is not enough pigs for all of them, TI is crowded, elven starting village has them at all 3 exits, Giran has a bloom of them every now and then. This is on Hinde.
It would be a boost for my moral and i guess others if they actually made a response that they where removed. It would be enough that they appeared at the spot with a GM toon and even shouted or said in open chat that they where there and did something. :)
And the "lucky" person who saw this would post a screenshot of this. :)

not to suggest that petitions do nothing but, i see three possibilities...
a: the bots know they were pettitioned. most annoying thing ever, you report a group of bots and even before you get a response back saying they are going to look into it, the whole group soes. in perfect unison.
b: the bots didnt notice they were petitioned. they got sent to "the box" for evaluation, at which point they probably "woke up" and started acting unbotlike. they will be back in 5 minutes.
c: they completed doing whatever cycle they were doing, and have either moved one to leveling or deleveling, depending. they will be back tomorrow.

Leave it up to somebody trying to look like an internet wise guy to miss the entire context of the thread. The point wasn't a look what I did, as much as being appreciative for a GM going out of their way to alleviate a problem. Granted, it is their job, but it is always nice to receive personalized attention.
I do understand your point of view. It always feels gratifying to assert some level of superiority over another individual on a totally anonymous message board. Way to go!
Umm did you ever think that mabe, they logged off.
LOL that happened to me. I petition someone and in 5 minutes.. poof, was gone. Next day, said toon logged in from the same spot while I was there and ran for Bonny.
GMs are a myth, some may say the know someone that have seen one, some written evidence may confirm their existance, but truth is they are just ancient folklore on this game
