At your level, I hope you're in BW. Get Majestic when you can afford it. Use an OE'd homu w/ acumen and get a SoM w/ acumen when you can afford it. Use shields to take advantage of your defensive buffs.
In PvP, you have to stay close enough to your group to heal, but take care not to get out in front of them (like in a rush on a castle or something.) You're already the first target in PvP, don't do the enemy any favors.
Put Major Heal, Greater Heal and Vitalize on your hotbar where you can reach them. I put mine in positions 1,2,3. Vitalize is not an mp efficient heal, by any means, but sometimes w/ full buffs in heavy pvp, you get to spamming and you're casting faster than your skills recover. That's where having 3 heals is handy. Also, with the change in Greater Heal, it doesn't restore as much HP right off the bat - Vitalize still does. I use all three as needed in PvP. When you know your team is getting ready to do a rush, right before you get there, you can go ahead and cast Greater Heal on those that are more likely to get hit. If you were a Bishop you could just cast Greater Group Heal on the group, but being an EE you just have to pick and choose. For instance, if you have your clan leader in the party, or a well-known player, or whoever is leading the rush, etc.
Also put CP pots on your hotbar, cuz you WILL get hit and it's easier (and better) to restore your cp than to take the time to target yourself, pull your heals off your teammates and heal yourself. Plus, you have to stop in order to cast, whereas you can use a cp pot while running out of range.
Rez is a definate must for your hotbar. In ally vs. ally pvp, make sure you are rezzing just as soon as your rez is ready again. If no one in your party is down, get the closest ally you can find.
You can put mana burn, trance and erase in your hotbar, but unless your team is staying at full health w/o you (unlikely), then you're usually going to be too busy to do that. Your primary job as an EE is to keep your team alive. It's not going to do a bit of good if you run around trancing everybody and let you're team die off. Support characters are exactly that - support. We support our clanmates and they do the fighting. We are not designed to do the fighting ourself. They may have given EEs a few more pvp-offensive skills in the past chronicle or two, but the primary role of an EE is still that of a healer.
I didn't really mention the buffs for the most part, but hopefully by this point in your career you know what buffs each class wants from you and when to give them. You also know about the importance of Clarity, I assume.
As far as 1v1... lol, good luck! Not many people (at least in NA/EU) play an EE for 1v1. I think even in the Olympiads people just give points to the ES's. I'll let someone else answer that question for ya.
And two things to add. Use trance in the moment the dangerouse melees coming to close. In 1v1 Trance + Manadrain your enemy if it is possible. And with the right gear you can maybe catch a point.

I suppose trance could work when a melee gets right up on you. Give you a chance to run away... I, however, would not want to waste the time/mp to mana burn someone when my team was loosing hp.
I lost in a 1v1 Necro vs. EE u . u (im nearly asshamed to say) but she was around 10 lvl above me.... I still thought i could take her. A)Nothing would land, guessing do to Buffs/Jewels. B) And it was before mana burn woke you up. She would trance me, and burn all my MP, so when i woke up, id be trying to BtM some MP, while she was slicing into me. And if i ever did get the BtM, i would just find myself asleep again, gettting my MP sucked from me.
I'm not into pvp atm and even less on EE/SE but my SE has Dryad Root and Sleep so can't they be used to assist in the melee rather than just heal ?
I'm probably way off but, as I say, I'm not into pvp.
Paladins have seen an increase in numbers and there's a fair amount of dwarves around if you combine their numbers. I left the daggers out because they get subpar archery skills, but you could pretty much include TH and PW too.
I am gonna go for a DC robe or maj robe set and probably an SOM, with maj jewels.
I have a +3 wit -3 men , and a +3 con -3 str dyes atm.
Anyone see any problem with that setup? Should I get another with wit? or someting else?
I have another question:
I know that every class gets boring at some point or another, and I had a few suggestions posted to me what I could do to eliminate some boredom if/ when it comes, let me know what you think.
1) Fish - trying to get the rare hair accessories.
2) Make an alt for fun - even thoug my sub class - when I reach it can take care of that
3) Level a pet - don't know how good they will be in CT1
4) Raid the high level bosses - lol if i ever get high enough for that lol
Last question:
In a castle seige, what is the best tactic. Go and be a battle healer with the melee chars and attack the enemy, or to stay back with the ranged classes and protect them from there. Both on offensive and Defensive

You don't usually have a choice on that. You go with whatever group you're assigned to. Sometimes you'll be placed in a ranged group, sometimes you'll be placed in a melee group. You adjust your tactics accordingly. Whatever type of group you're in, you need to stay with them, otherwise you can't heal. My earlier comment still applies, especially in a siege, when your party is rushing, you have to stay close enough to heal, but don't let yourself get out in the front. Sometimes your command leader will call for everyone to rush and then fall back or turn right - if you're in front and you don't do that quickly enough, you're going to have everybody on the other side aiming right at you.
Heya all. I play a Bishop, which in PvP is very similiar to EE. In my experience, PvP on a healer is a good way to lose xp, and not much else. However, if you're in a clan that does pvp, you may not have much choice. Again, in my experience, CP pots are a waste of time and weight limit. Once the bad guys figure out who you are, and if you are a good healer, they will... You will be mass targeted on sight. When a full party of nukers or archers are pegging you, CP pots do little good. With the exception of daggers, and maybe destroyers, melee toons aren't too much of a threat in clan PvP. You can keep yourself alive until help comes. IMO, Greater Heal is a waste of SP, after you get Major Heal. The heal value SUCKS, and the MP usage is HARSH. You'd be better off with Battle Heal on your bar, in my opinion. (Yes, I know EE's don't get GBH. I meant the normal one.) For thr mp depletion issue, Trance only costs like 60 mp per. At high levels, in Maj Robes, buffed, my Bishop at 75 has a good bit over 4k mp. Major Heal costs like 80 per, I think. If you are in a hard group fight, mp conservation is not an issue. You do what you must, and keep people alive. In solo pvp, trance casts so fast that it can save your life. Also, if an EE trances a necro, they can then Erase/Might of Heaven the pet while the necro watches. Another option that is suitable for a weapon is a Wizard's Tear. You can buy one with acumen, for less than a clean SoM, and don't have to worry about the SA crystal. The matk isn't as good, but unlike a homon, it used B grade shots, so it only uses 1 per, unlike the 3 that the homon uses.
Just some scattered thoughts about healers in PvP.
Every fighter can have a range attack just buy a Shadow BOW problem solved.
And every healer/buffer can solo exp, just buy a shadow melee weapon, duh.
Having a bow does not solve all or even most of the problems because 1. You have less range than true ranged classes. 2. your accuracy will be much lower than that of ranged classes. 3. you got not skills for them, hence you're stuck to plain shooting without masteries and in most cases doing crap dmg. 4. Shadow bows are B-grade, while there's A and S out there too.

We were talking about fighters pvp healers. even with a B grade shadow bow I do hell lot damage to a healer class in robes that just rooted me the any damage that healer does to me. and Healer that's out of my range of my bow can't harm me. EE can't melee with a shadow weapon or even a dam good weapon at 55+. MY level 60 EE in BW light and +10 SLS*SLS spends more time healing her self then my lvl 60 SE with the same setup that just kills mobs and move on.

1. Root.
2. Get to range 900.
3. Burn their MP.
4. Get to their bow range and see that they do even less damage to you than you do to them.
But, frankly, it's one of the stupidiest ways to spend your time as a healer.
Definitely you can pvp if you get an Active Magic Atk Skill from an augment or at least fair better than without one in pvp situations. So get cracking on it.
not only that, but their power is also affected by what lvl life stone you use. If you're lvl 76 and use a lvl 64 LS and get hurricane for example, you hurri will only at maximum equal to a lvl 64 SH, but probably less powerful. So it would still be worthless unless you plan on ganking B-grade toons
Go with dc and an acu wep for a grade pvp set, and try +4con -5 str, +4 dex -5 str (goddard dyes) and +4wit/-4men for your dyes. You're not going to be fighting in the open field (or i hope not :D ) healing, recharging, returning, pring...thats about it till you can fight in oly, and thats a whole nother story. :)

I only have one thing to add to this. We were pvping an enemy clan once and this guy who looked like a PR came rushing in and start shooting us with his drac. Obviously the "My Target---> NAMEOFENEMY" from our primary targetter came on and we proceeded to assist to kill that guy... until we figured our he was a tank. By this time 1-2 of us got dropped and we had to fall back to regroup. Granted, we ignored that guy then on, but that very first time he did that was well worth it. That's at least one reason non archers should have bows. :D
I've seen more than one of our enemies wear crusader and they are archer. Plus we've never seen this guy b4, so we didn't know what to expect. Again, he got us just that one time.
Then again, I guess ur so pro at this game that you don't even flinch when starting pvp or you think it over when ur targetter says to attack his target.
Targetter: My Target ---> ENEMY
You: Hmm... I wonder what gear and armor he is using and if I should assist my targetter?
Unless you are the targetter, then I suppose u have a valid point.
Well, I'm not that pro, when anyone in vent shouts "my target" or do %target, we just try to put the target down. I'm just saying we fell for that one and it was a good move. Lesson learned.
I'm melee, I actually look at what I am targetting. I dont go for heavy armor classes as long as there's robes and lights around. Common sense really, atleast to classes that dont rely on /assist /attack macros.
As to archers using heavy, only seen that in Oly so far.
I have seen some nice tips in here... Nice to know for myself aswell... I learned these tricks in the progress as being an EE.
1) Always lvlup Root, Wind Shackle and Mana Burn. Those three with Trance are the skills you need in PVP. A rooted, 'sleeping', slowed down and low on mana melee opponent then can't use skills and is to slow to hit you.
2) Have your CP pots ready and ur Elixir if needed. Also don't care about the (in)famous 'PR NOOB' shouts.
On last PTS my EE was wearing BW Light instead of BW Robe for the PvP factor. BW Light is a good option aswell thanks to the effect and the already higher cast speed of an Elf. Also the Light Armor mastery helps you abit. Never go with a Bow to PvP, some people might advise this, but since C5/Interlude the casting speed with a Bow is lowered to only 50%. Gear up with an Acumen Weapon (Homu/SoV/WT/SoM) or maybe even a Hell Knife (with the magic power SA (??)). Don't go with a two handed blunt 'cause you gonna need your shield against any melee class.
A nice Dye setup I used is;
+4CON-4STR (if you gonna stick with a Mage Weapon because you don't need P.Atk)
+4MEN-4WIT (for casting speed)
I also tried +4CON-4STR, +4DEX-4STR, +4WIT-4MEN and it was kinda fun when running arround in DC Robe (+4DEX + 7% speed = fast running elf).
Keep in mind; ALWAYS BUFF YOUR SELF and get a shield. Being an EE the Shield Buffs, Evasion and Resist Shock w/ +4CON-4STR Dye give you more HP and Shock Resist.
Also maybe good tip: Pratice alot and find a good party to support... and check out the TJK (or TSK) movies on Blah. He is a high level EE from Franz' doing a great job just healing.

What level of pvp are you talking about here? 3x - 4x?
EEs don't get root after level 35 (as Aspecti said). Root is a waste of time, period.
Plus, wind shackle only slows attack speed, not run speed, as you seem to imply. (And this obviously will only affect melee and archers as casters are not affected by atk. speed.)
I am talking about Melee's with the Wind Shackle thing. Also my EE is lv6x and done some decent PvP with it, aswell with an ES on CT1 PTS. Root is okay to use if you have the time to land it. I root my oppontents (PvP/E) with flooding Trance anyway ^_^ never use Root tbh, don't even have it on my own hotbar.
Trance , Mana Burn and repeat is also nice in PvP, does the trick most of the time in arena, never used it in uncontrolled PvP anyway.
...EEs can do way more in pvp than healing and mana burning, given the right setup. In the current chronicle if you have enough adena and patience (or luck) you could hit as hard as an archer (~1.2k normal 5k crit)
And I can get Anchor on my sword, so [censored] what? EE is a healer, it is meant to heal the party first and foremost. I dont care if you got nuke augments or a +16 Drac Bow with 150 ele attack, if you let your party members die while playing the mini-DD, you should reroll.

ee is not a healer. secondary healer, their primary job is debuffing, recharging, and rezing.
