Signature

I am having two problems editing my sig.

First, when I click "Preview", a window pops up telling me

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /previewsig.php on this server.

Second, although it says "Signature (up to 300 characters)", my signature is being consistently turned down as "Signature too long" with just 184 characters... (that includes every single character, space, ubbcode, etc.)

What is the actual limit on characters for sigs?

i cant address your first problem but i can prolly clear this up
the character limit is actually 298 (dont ask me why) and yes that includes UBB code as well
the reason you are having problems is most likely because
爱是恒久忍耐&# 65292;又有恩慈; 爱是永不止&#24687 ; is prolly counting as multiple characters per

I'll double check what the signature specifications are, but your sig (the bottom portion) is appearing as a bunch of question marks on a computer that doesn't have the Asian language pack installed.

Good. :p I figured they would be question marks for those w/o the Asian pack, but question marks are much better than 爱是恒久忍&#32784 :eek:

i have the asian language pack installed but alot of your text just shows up as boxes to me (like squares)
anyway that may explain whats going wrong with your sig length

that's how listof's signature appears to me..

i'm running windows Vista x64 Ultimate English Canadian....

But probably due to the Ultimate extras automatically downloading and installing ALL the language packages (28?)... is why i can see them properly...


IMO, the signature rules seem a wee bit tight however... But to each forum owners own rules.

I don't have chinese/far eastern language support installed.
The main reason I don't install is because it uses an inferior, outsized version of ariel font.
