Since THs are a class that i hear alot of questions regarding setups about. I decided to write a little guide about them awhile back which i have posted of a few sites. This guide is basically a walkthrough of what setups are ideal for pvp/pve or a mix of the two. Feel free to throw in some criticism if you'd like, but chances are i wont be changing this guide =.=
Anyways, here goes.
B Grade Pure PvP : Demon Sword w/ Crit Damage, Doom Light, +5 Dex -4 STR -1 CON. Shouldnt really be PvPing at this level but meh. Thats the ideal setup if you are just PvPing
B Grade Pure PvE : Kris w/ Focus, Doom Light, +5 STR +4 DEX -9 CON. Self explanitory, this pretty much maxes out your DPS xp wise but gimps you in PvP because of your low CON. Depending on where you are xping you may be able to get away with wearing Plated Leather but i wouldnt suggest it.
B Grade Mix : Demon Sword w/ Crit Damage(Or Kris w/ Focus, doesnt really matter), Doom Light, +5 Dex -2 STR -3 CON. Best balance between them, you can xp and still pvp relativly well with this setup, depends on the person with that tats though. You could either go -3/-2 or -2/-3. All depends on how you feel with the toon.
Blue Wolf isnt really a good PvP or PvE set at that level, not many mobs nuke so the mdef on it really isnt that great and the pdef is barely noticable. What i said for B Grade has been the same for awhile.
A Grade Pure PvE : Dark Crystal, Bloody Orchid w/ Focus, +5 STR +4 DEX -9 CON - This setup is pretty nice when soloing or grouping, if you are xping withhout a healer, xp on single HP mobs for herb drops, it doesnt replace a healer but it is better than using all of your GHPs XPing. Nightmare Light isnt helping much in PvE since you cant survive without a healer or a decent level VR anyways - 3HP per 100 damage that you deal will NOT save you, if you think otherwise you are deluding yourself. You shouldnt be xping on mobs that root/kite so that should be a nonissue. Case & Point, no Nightmare Light.
A Grade PvP/PvE mix : Dark Crystal Light, Soul Sep w/ Crit Damage, +4 STR -4 CON - Thats the standard setup but you can change the tat setup to a personal liking. I personally prefered Majestic Light for this time since i could carry more pots and soul shots but if you plan on doing more XPing go with Dark Crystal, if you plan on PvPing abit more go Majestic; mobs start to stun when you are 6x and Majestic is one of the best PvP armor sets. Now that it is Interlude you have escape arrest and that is probably the most used root skill, there are very few live healers/buffers to root and close to every class has a stun skill, if you feel like using something other than Dark Crystal PvP wise, use Maj (Maj is EASILY, a better PvP set than DC or NM)
A Grade Pure PvP : Majestic Leather Armor, Soul Sep w/ Crit Damage, +5 DEX +4 CON -9 STR - This setup really gimps your xp if you plan on soloing. I explain abit more why this setup isnt the best in some cases later on in this novel of a post.
S Grade PvP w/o Boss Jewelry : Majestic Leather Armor, Angel Slayer w/ Crit Damage, -9 STR +5 DEX +4 CON. If you dont have boss jewelry than you will really feel the loss of stun resist. With Crit Damage you raise your damage as much as you can, granted it doesnt make up for a lack of boss jewelry. But with Haste it takes about 13-15 stabs to get an extra stab in as opposed to what you would get with Crit Damage.
S Grade PvP w/ Boss Jewelry : If you have a Zakens earring, you can switch to Draconic Light now but if you cant afford it than Majestic still works just as fine. (See the previous S grade setup for why Zaken is important here). Same dagger, same tats.
PvP wise some people dont like going full out -9 STR so they still have some bow abilities. I'll say now that i DONT use the -9 STR setup since i dont feel that the CON boost is worth gimping me being able to use a bow in PvP.
