I would go Sorc; necro? never!
Then again i'm somewhat a sorc "fanboy" always loved them, from their noble looks (noble kid true..) to their new graphical effect of main nuke, to their combination of spells.
I wish they'd get some lovin from NCSoft, a bit not much, please?

I love my class. Decent M.atk, decent cast speed.
I can top 1735 cast speed & 2929 M.atk(without epics, and +0 arcana mace) at 77. Without Arcane Lore & Arcane power.

and I love it.

<---- 77 Archmage. But retired for the most part. I got to 77 for my vortex, tried it once, and have been playing my Swordsinger ever since.

Honestly i am surprised how UGLY the effects for vortex is on all clasees, they thould've made it alot more spectacular... no idea what they are thinking... Ugh..

maybe if the sorc has full epics and the necro doesn't, and a lot of luck.

darl: Unholy, Divine, invocation, warding, frintezza.

fire: Fire, Elemental, Fire guard, warding, valakas.

necros have 2 silences and anchor. and anti-cov debuff, and transfer pain.

if both classes are played right there is no way a sorc should be able to win.

Ummm, yeah. The only mage that has a chance to beat a Necro is a Spellhowler... and the only reason they would have a chance is if their silence lands and the Necro's doesn't.

Divine = 20% Dark Resist
Elemental = 25% Fire Resist

Necro > Sorc ATM.

I reckon with S80 sets Necro will be = Sorc since I doube the innate resist on them will be > 5% (same as PvP damage bonus).

But you never know...

It's not an Anti-CoV debuff. It's more like an Anti-PoWater debuff. It decreases Speed, M.Atk, Cast Speed, and Magic Critical Rate (maybe slightly inaccurate).

At end game Unholy Resistance doesn't matter because it will be stripped off by Dark Vortex. I think it has been proven taht Gloom and Surrender has basically the same effects on damage. One is just Elemental and one is Raw M.Def.
