Which Server Will You Choose

Alright server transfers are coming, and for the sake of this discussion let's assume there guaranteed to happen and soon. Please don't de-rail this thread into a "ROFL LOL LOL NCSoft Said this before I don't believe them LOL" type of thread and lets also assume you wont be able to bounce from server to server.

So I want to know, which server you will transfer too and why? Of course the option to stay on your current server is also a very valid one. for the sake of argument let's say they allowed you to go to any server, until it reached it's quota (max)

i will be taking my SE and Bishop and Sorc from Devianne all to Lionna where my net worth will quintouple by association.

I would only change if my alliance wanted to move. And I doubt they will. That said, I would first check out the servers with the larger and/or newer populations. And I would avoid any server controlled by farmer clans like the plague.

That also assumes that you can pick where you want to go.

Sending my dwarf to franz to sell some MM daggers then trading the profit to another toon to send it back to bartz.

I'm not leaving Gustin, it's a pretty good server. To hell with every other server and those who left to roll on Bartz. :D

I personally love Sieghardt, and will probably stay there. I've met too many really good people there to go anywhere else.

Ehm stay gustin till i get nobless and 78 on main , then prolly Franz or Teon(if my friends join me too )

I have a feeling this server transfer service will not mean much to most; just speculation.

My three accounts are remaining on Sieghardt.

I'd prefer to go to a medium pop server - maybe Hinde or Lionna - Lionna because I hear they don't have as big farmer problems (I hate to bring it up, but this is the reason I'd consider Lionna). Though my boyfriend would start playing again if he could transfer to Bartz - so I'd probably follow, so we could play together. That's more important than what server it is. Of course I'd try to convince him to choose another server :p

I will go to Bartz if they open server transfers. Why? Because all of my friends/clanmates have either quit the game or rerolled to bartz. So basically... where some people are saying they want to stay on their respective server to keep friends, I will have to do the opposite.

Also, I've already rolled a couple of lowbies on bartz and there's way more going on there (way more people to talk to anyway) than on Lionna.

I personally love Sieghardt, and will probably stay there. I've met too many really good people there to go anywhere else.

otherwise i'll stick with crappy gustin server

even if this was available, id sooner reroll a level 1 toon on a different server than transfer a high level character from one server to another, and be that person shouting "76+ toon looking for clan, pm me" when no one has every heard of me before. if i wanted to skip magically from level 1 to 78, i would have done it the first time around. and C grade is the most fun anyways, why would you want to skip that?

I might move one toon from Gustin to Teon, just to make room for another toon in Gustin :)

Seems like I've read that Kain is like that. And I've heard that we used to have a clan like that on Sieghardt.

I heard server transfers will be available sometime during summer of 2004.

Is there any reason to think they'll be sooner?

I guess I might move a couple characters - I started on one server during beta, but moved cross-country afterwards and switched servers for better ping.

i would move to franz/teon IF my clan would move as well.

I love Sieghardt as it's been my homebase for more then 3 years now. Even though I'm European and the times are all USA based, we have managed quite well to get into the events even with 8 hours time difference towards in game time clocks. If transfer comes I'm not sure I'd be moving all together, it would depend on the general desire of my alliance members. If they say "We would like to tranfer to server X" I'll consider doing that.

Personally if I didn't have the Alliance I lead now, I'd go to Lionna for the RPG. I love to RPG and although inside my alliance we do a little bit of that, most of siegh isn't into the stuff so it stays quite small on that aspect. But not to a point it bothers me. However, yeah if I was not leader I would most likely go Lionna.

Well unless you can take your clan level and alliance with you on the toon that holds it I dont see myself moving from Lionna... besides I do love Lionna. I will put toons on other servers just for the fun of it though. As for RP... I only really know of 2 clans on Lionna that are into that stuff (EOD and ET).... I could be wrong there... but besides for those I dont see any major RP clans or Alliances on Lionna. They do have the Wishing Well though lol.

those are about the only ones left on lionna. i only know of one other RP clan in all the rest of the game, and its on devianne, goes by the name Undomiel

Whoa awesome responses! I have enjoyed reading peoples thoughts on which servers they would choose and why they would choose them.

Just to throw my 2 cents in, I would think about teon simply because when checking them out I realized they definitly had the largest population, however my ping to teon from NA is 157 and to be honest i get little lags when moving sometimes and I can't pvp like that :(

Also I thank everyone for not de-railing the thread into "my server -pwnzorz that server" or another emo "there all farmed to high hell" thread, although I understand peoples comments when it comes to wanting to go to a server where at least the major bosses are out of farmer hands i.e bartz etc.

Well i`m a TEON Dark elf all the way! ^_^ but if i really had to choose i`d move to Lionna because of the RP element!.

But i will definitely not be moving servers! i`ve made too many friends here on teon not to mention my Clan! As clan leader i cant just up and drag all my clannys across servers!

Not leaving lionna. And there are 3 RP clans that are active that I know of....ET, EOD and LO. Although I dont see EoD around as much as I do LO and ET.

Most of my toons are on Devianne, but I recently rolled a toon on Lionna and another on Bartz. I don't know about "greener", but it's definitely a different type of grass. :D

At first I thought i'd go to Bartz :) Wanted a high pop server.. :) Although it appears alot of people want to come to Lionna :)

I've already re-rolled to Kain, but I wouldn't mind bringing over my TH from the original server to play on. But to be honest, I really would like to have access to the adena I worked so hard to get from the other server to Kain. I don't hold too much hope on that though. And if the amount allowed is too skimpy I won't bother.

If it happens and I can, I will. If not, I won't lose any sleep.

Depends where the friends I have met go :) Maybe Bartz b/c there are more people than Kain, but, if my friends didn't move with me, I wouldn't go anywhere.

I love my server too, Lionna. I would only leave if a majority of my friends were leaving and we all moved together.

I'm not moving from Hindemith UNLESS my clan/allies and friends move. That would be the only thing that would have me do so. Other than that, Hindemith has been my home since Day 1. :)

Depends, if I can transfer more than one character from my account to another server with all their equipment and stuff then I might move to another server.
For now, I only wish for account transfers so I can move my BD from my main account to the pets one ;)

Despite the fact that I'd love an opportunity to play with so many of you from these boards, Sieghardt is my home. I moved from Gustin to Sieg at the start of C2 and I wouldn't choose another server.

I'd pack up everything and move to Lionna. The Devianne crowd is nice, but the people that I know play on Lionna.

It's lonely in my 40's on Kain...was lonely in my 30's....and 20's...Maybe, if I manage to find some people by the time I hit 50's or 60's I'll consider staying, otherwise I'll be heading off to more populated grounds.

I think a lot of people assume that there is a lot of role play going on on Lionna, but that's just not the case. The vast majority of people don't role play, and though you can join a few clans here or there that role play, it's not like you can just strike up a rp conversation w/ anybody.

Either that or they think it's a "medium" population server, which I think was true a year ago, but a LOT of people have quit over the past year, so the server feels kinda dead atm.

I'm in a pretty large clan so I don't feel the "dead" as much as most I guess but since I keep reading on the forums that the server is dead I made a few toons on other servers to get a comparison. One other server in particular (wont name names) had almost no one at the racetrack/arena, few shops in Giran and then when I tried several times to run my lowbie to FOTD to see if there were any adena fields there were none.... now that was a dead server. I don't feel so bad about Lionna anymore.

Stick to Franz, no reason in the world to move.

I'd go to whichever sever doesnt have EVERY SINGLE room in it's catas or necros taken by bots, and it's GM's dont give you that "we need to investigate" crap......... ah bugger......... thats never going to happen, might as well go back to Pacman.

There is a lot of role-play on Lionna, if you know where to look for it. It's not like the RP clans hide their identities... we are, however, not a public service like Gatekeepers, so don't expect to find us just standing around in town or something.
