Tyrant Attack Speed

Hi Guys/Girls,
I'm a tyrant at lvl 67 in NM with SE Buffs and GASP pots I only seem to max out my attack speed at 890...is it possable to get it much higher than that and if so how?
hmm, I recall at lvl 62 with an old tyrant of mine... I could 1k-1.1k.

Buffs I had to do that was Haste 2 (or gsap pot) zerk, dance of fury, puma totem and attack speed toggle (fist fury I think its called, escapes me atm) that eats hp as its on.

Usually had vr 2 or 3 to offset the hp consumtion of the toggle.

I was in Doom Light, and had blood tornado's with haste.
(yes I was niave, this time round I'm going focus)

ahem, to OP: youll need Zerk, Dance of Fury, and your 3 self Hasting abilities: the SA of your weapon - puma totem - Fist fury.

granted at 62 most arent using B grades anymore, but RSK haste is for Tyrants what Focus is for Archers. the bread and butter.

Focus (to Xap) will do you NO GOOD. you wont have the speed necessary to keep up with a 1v1 tyrant with atk speed in pve nor in pvp. focus does not add enough even when buffed to do anything worth your money. at 68 focus isnt a problem anyway.
I found that I wasn't doing much pvp wise anyhow, and that extra speed was costing a fortune in shots... I don't know.

Maybe save for DG's with health. I'm not sure, I quite and deleted that old tyrant a year ago, and have rerolled now I came back with a new account and boxing off my old account.

I'm not the greatest at pvp either. Maybe I should wait for bison before really getting into the pvp.

What I have learnt through out the game is that crit rate is generally better than attack speed... but crit and attack speed owns. ~_^

I'm just hitting C grade now with my new tyrant.
I had a friend who had BT's with Focus and seemed to do quite well.
What Spudnik says makes sense, since a Tyrants fist weapons are said to be more like blunts than anything else. However, I confess that I don't have a Tyrant, so I don't have any actual experience on a Tyrant to back it up.
At the time I was looking for A grade fists the cheapest and best option for me seemed to be BT's with Focus so thats what I went for. I was lucky with an Augment that gave me a little more to my Crit rate which was nice but I still hope to get hold of some DG's in the future...As far as atk spd goes I've got some clannies who are lvling up a WC and Bladedancer, so with a little luck some nice buffs soon. Do the chants and dances stack?
yes.

big props for DG/health fists. remember that crit rate maxes out at 500. you already get 450 from Bison alone. this is 1 in 2 swings crit. put focus on and still 1 in 2 chance to crit. focus makes 0 sense when youve got bison. currently under 68 you max out at around 200 before augs.

Counter-test.
Tyrants are not about super attack speed. Me thinks their greater + in pve is p attack + crit (bison) and for pvp endurance + skill dmg, evade, kiting (ogre, puma, wolf-rabit).

well, duelling a tank yes. open field pvp, yes. the attack speed helps not in the capability of swinding normal swings faster, but of shooting blasters, aoes, and cripples faster.

theres one way i like to pvp and thats vs a Heavy or magic class. i know i wont be really getting my hp down as most heavy classes are weak. the only exception is a destro.

vs a heavy class i charge up, run in with wolf, cripple, run out a space, watch as they try to either drain or root me (which usually fails - BWleather! and break duress.) and use the following combination: Long range aoe, short range aoe, then ### blaster, flurry, pop ghp and start wailing on it with bison and### fist fury active. wait about until my own CP is depleted (tanks are then around 1/2 hp) then ### run out a space charge up and run in with ### blaster, ### flurry ### and POD.

insert stun where facing a destro somewhere around the ### marks. works a fair amount of time. vs daggers its always a coin toss. sometimes i dont get much farther than the first few hits, other times its a swing fest as evasion vs evasion (even more now in CT1 with boosts to evasion vs skills), other times its a lucky blaster crit and i win.
