i put in my wrong credit card number by accident, and now every time i try and renew my account it says i cant because of -
Fraud suspicion.. has this happend to anyone else? if so how long did it take until you could renew it or what did u do to fix the problem.. plz help, thanks.
In cases like this you have two options. You could call NC if you live within the USA or you could contact support and work this out.
same thing happened to me once
i think the problem was my card expired and making too many attempts in one day triggered a warning
NC solution was to wait 24 (?) hours before trying again
The last time I had fraud suspicion it happened when I tried to buy a GW add-on. I don't know why they did not take my card, because renewing my L2 subscription was going fine.

Apparently they don't like me living in England with my Dutch creditcard.

However the answer I got from support was that I can't renew my subscription with a creditcard from another country, yeah good. -.-

I hope support will be more helpfull to you, but if all else fails I guess there's always Ncsoft game time cards :p.
You will have to call NC Soft support. Chances are, when the incorrect # was entered your account was "flagged". So until you resolve the issue, it will likely come up like this every time.

I used to work for JPMorgan Chase...the amount of credit card fraud is insane, and, online, it's incredibly easy to pull it off...so while it may be frusterating that companies have been a little overboard about their Credit Card protection...consider it a favour to you (it's incredibly hard to prove your innocence if you are a victim of credit card fraud). Also, if you live in one country, and your credit card comes from another, the problem may lie at your credit card companies end, they may have not allowed it, OR if your address does not match the address on the credit card account, it should not go through (all companies should be preforming name, address confirmation BEFORE charging the account...if the address does not match, the company will not put it through)

Also...make sure you let your credit card company know that you will be putting through charges in other countries (otherwise the fraud dept will decline the charge...a simple note on the account can prevent a decline)

Multiple attempts will trigger a fraud flag on the credit card companies end...good credit card companies have a built in security system to "flag" suspicious charges, the system more or less "learns" the behaviour of the cardholder and if something out of the ordinary is put through, it will auto-decline and flag the transaction for the fraud dept, at that point if the CC company can't get a hold of you your CC will be shut down until they can...
1) Try to wait for a day.
2) Check with Your bank if the limit on the CC is not exceeded.
3) Contact the NC Support.
great info tedwerd, i had disbeliefs in using CC online, but u seem to know what you're talking about,
my address dos enot match the card used for my account. i had 0 problem. a relative added me on there card. When the time is up ill switch over to my home address.
Add to this protection offered by intelligent pattern matching, I was out of the country on business, and my wife ordered something online on my credit card. The system decided that i couldnt be at home and away, so it cancelled my card for me.
They DID however send a replacement to me by international courier when i explained that i was effectively stranded at a hotel 2000 miles from home.
Unlike the states it's actually illegal, I believe, for anyone other than the card holder to use a card over here in the UK. Most CC companies advise you to let them know you're leaving the country to avoid having to make authorisation calls like I've had to do in the past.
Technically you are not supposed to allow anyone to use your credit card other than someone listed on the account. If you do (the other person has to sign their own name otherwise it crosses a whole other boundary) then basically that person becomes an authorized non-user. Authorized non-user means that this person is not on the account and you have knowingly allowed them to use your card. Should an authorized non-user EVER USE YOUR CARD FRAUDULANTLY, you are SOL. You cannot claim fraud against this person, even if they steal your card from your wallet and exceed it's $20,000 limit. So, don't let anyone use your card that is not listed on the account.
Chip and Pin all the way.
