Work has been brutal, so try as I do, I doubt I will reach my goal of 5,000 medals to obtain the level 11 Crystal. So my question is, should I use them, or save them for "next time"?
Not certain if this is even an option, which is why I ask.
Now, if by some miracle NC extends the event a week :) /bribes the GM & Alyra with California wine.
Not sure if you are serious or not, but that's about the worst thing you can do. Swift attack potions cost IIRC 10 medals, so you spend 10*5k=50k adena to buy one swift attack potion (which costs about 15k adena if you buy them with aa at 1:2 rate) :)
Even things like bres are ridiculously expensive if you consider for how much adena the medals sell (I think bres is 667 medals, so one scroll costs 3.3m adena).
The only thing worth buying in this event are the soul crystals. If you are not interested in those or are unable to gather enough medals, sell your medals to get adena.
Bought 10k medals for ~7k each and got a rather cheap lvl 12 cry. I wish the medal prices were 5,5k on Teon lol, there are people buying the medals for 8,5k, which would still be a way cheaper way to get lvl 12 crystals that are sold for around 100m.
The demand for 11-13 lvl crystals on Teon is much higher, yet the amount of possible crystals being produced is the same on all servers. Hence why prices are way higher than on servers where the supply can easily meet the demand.

Prices are screwed up. As Charmille wrote: Crystal prices are insane (50 mln for 11, 100-110 mln for 12 and 130 or so for 13, with about the same amout as the weapon corresponding to the crystal lvl).
QHP on ht other hand are cheaper - 60K is not a rare site (there was a dwarf with 8xx of them in Aden for example).
This is just to show how Teon works - a lot of high lvl chars = a lot of A/S grade weapons in need of SA = lot of demand = key RB on lockdown by top clans (apart from Rift one) = price overkill. At the same time a lot of PvP = a lot of potions flooding the market.
Oj, and forgot to add: the medals are 8K in buy shops on Teon too. Not 5K.
Wow... my clan bought Medals for 2.4K on Gustin, and we bought them in droves. Sure there was ppl buying them for 5-5.5K but they sold out during the night and we were able to buy them... wow Lvl 12's are going for 45mil - from the farmers, and 30-35 from reg clans-if you know where to look, on Gustin. I can't believe 70mil is cheap for a 12.. wow
75-80m for 12s on Erica so I made a decent enough profit :). No one sold 'em cheap on my server. Even buy stores were set at least 4k. 3.5 in Gludio but that's gludio lol.
