Hey dudes, im sure noone remembers me lol, but i played all the way since the very first beta and up until about 4 months after retail.
Then i quit and checked back from time to time, now im thinking about really staying this time :)
Anyway, what server to pick? I used to play on Lionna, but stupid me deleted the character ages ago lol. All in all it was a nice server, pretty populated and friendly.
But i want you guys to recommend some anyway!
Basically i want the chattiest server there is, i want there to be alot of funky friendly dudes chatting away and stuff, basically the server with the most active players (not counting bots lol).
Yeah, im sure you all will recommend your own servers you play on lol, but whatever :)
Also where is the best way to check the major things that have changed since, Chronicle 1 lol ?
I dont mean the feature list, just the huge changes, like eventual changes to PvP or PK'ing etc etc.
Are all servers the same nowadays in terms of PvP dynamics?

I get the feeling that it all depends on who you hook up with on any server, there are dozens (if not hundreds) of different 'communities' on each server. For example, one poster said 'people use vent now' but a pal's clan/ally is made up of people who band together because they don't like vent. The pro/anti vent peiople rarely party together so they hardly know each other exist. I am sure there are ppl in other countries who play as much as I do but at times different than mine so I never even see them.
The game has expanded/changed immensely, such a list would take pages even with only the briefest of explanations of each change. Your early experience is like glancing into the entrance of a huge castle's grounds. Expect that answer to take months of playtime to develop.

PS Come to Erica. You have to be good to thrive on Erica, though. Just because someone is good enough to be a hero on Bartz doesn't mean they are good enough to get to B~Grade on Erica.
I think Lionna is still relatively 'chatty'...I know our clan usually is! (lol).
Not lvl 1-20 of course since there is no one to chat with in starter areas..but in Dion there are still usual conversations and folks chatting out loud.
I'm guessing all the servers are sort of like this. I have toons on Hinde, Franz, Bartz, Devianne, Lionna but play 99% on Lionna.
A couple weeks ago I leveled a toon to 10 on Bartz and ran into some chatty folks. Last time I was on Franz and Devianne there was no one and no talking--but that was over a month ago.
Give lionna another shot and give me a pm--I'll help ya get back into the game a bit!

If you are euro play franz/teon. If you aren't play bartz. Bartz is only NA server with any decent amount of population.
Sorry, I just can't agree with this one. We don't know how many 'players' (actual people controlling one or two toons in real time) are on ANY of the servers.
Bartz has more ACCOUNTS than any NA server and I'll grant it seems to have some more people than Lionna.
Keep in mind, all of these add up to the same number on any server:
20 players each with one toon equals a server pop of 20.
2 players with 5 bots each and 10 players of 1 toon = 20.
4 players with 5 bots each = 20 on the server.
In the first case there are 20 people to interact with.
In the second case there would be 12.
In the third case there would technically be 4 but in reality no one at all cause botters don't talk/interact much.
Bartz is easily the heaviest bot population of any NA server--and no one is even a close 2nd.
Yeah it has more ACCOUNT--but we'll never know if that is more PLAYERS.
My guess is that Bartz has a few more players than Lionna and 6x the bots.

Beginners luck, about 6 levels into it, a dude with a huge sword (the demon sword? nah?) stalked me and PK'd me.
Then, funny enough, he dies by the DE village sentries and drops an earring that i happily picked up and sold to the vendor for 62k adena :)

Gratz on the cash. Sounds like you are having a good time. Be mindful of what you sell to npc as you might get more if you sold to a player. Of course if it was a piece of no grade jewelery then selling it to the npc is pretty much "what one does".
Not the Demon Sword though as he would have been able to decimate those guards. Heck, I can decimate those guards with my regular gear.

actually i think thats 11. eventually only 10, because theres no way 10 people can share an account for any length of time without butting heads at some point.
