Well, they are supposed to be Lineage II Dark Elves, but you're right that the skin color is not quite the same as in the game. I asked why they weren't painted ash-colored, as their skin is in the game. I guess they liked the look of the flesh-colored skin tone better. Hey, it's still hot. :)
It is, the model exist prepainted as a Lineage I Dark Elf (the one up for prize). And it exists as a handpainted Lineage II Dark Elf version (the one depicted above)
I got a question about winning. How long does it take to recieve the prizes exactly? I'm still waiting on mine for the other contest... and Mystril no longer works here so I can't talk to her any more (she was the only person to ever email me about it). So like... have you guys forgotten about it?

Ash-colored?? Excuse me!!?? I'm blue I tell you... :mad:

Wow >< Wallpaper contest was quite a while ago. :o Maybe Alyra can take over where Mystril left off? ^^
But surely the competition itself is indeed a competition of skill which wouldn't qualify as a game of chance. This law only applies to such things as lotteries and slot machines which are based on random numbers. An art contest is all down to the skill and creativity of the individual.
Hmm.. I was reading the rules and stuff, and it said that you had to send it in as a .jpg image. Since my entry consists of 5 in-game screenshots, would putting all 5 of my .jpg images into a RAR file disqualify it, or should one just put the images into a jumbled bunch of attachments? I can't help it that I hate disorganized looking things :eek:
(Or maybe I should be asking if you're even allowed to use more then one screenshot? :eek: )

Um, I hope you have edited them in some way so they aren't just huge 1024 pixel images with some text pasted on them.
Right right.. I showed my friend and he was like "Dont you think you should like.. make it a comic..?" Just ignore my question :o Good thing I didn't start it last minute, changing it into comic form won't be easy, but I guess that's why the deadline is in October.

You may use more than one screenshot, yes, but you may want to shrink or crop them a bit. You could even throw them into one of the many free manga/comic building tools available on the web.
May I ask (haven't seen it posted) what is the GMT deadline hour ?:)
Or is it 11:59 PM local time on the 5'th of october ?:)
It's 11:59 PM Friday October 5, 2007 Central Time in North America, which is 4:59 AM in Saturday October 6, 2007 (assuming this site (http://www.timezoneconverter.com/) calculated it correctly).
AFAIK, GMT doesn't work on Daylight Savings and stuff, so its actually not the same as BST. So it changes.
I would just go with what it is in BST and CET, much better than talking about GMT.
doesnt everywhere opperate on DST lol
as i under stand it, the norhten hemisphere* has DST the same, with the suthern being -1 (and vice versa in winter)
that being said. CET-GMT is the easiest, as you just look at the other end of the clock.
Central American Time = "CAT"
12AM CAT == 6AM GMT
3PM CAT == 9PM GMT
11AM CAT == 5AM GMT
Actually that changes because CET has daylight saving changes, while GMY does not, so some part of the year CET = GMT+2 and some parts of the year CET = GMT+1
Many online clocks do not account for this sadly which can lead to confusion.
I know it's past, but I always asumed NC based their times on Pacific. Not central.

DST messes everything up, but as i work it out:
if DST = true then: GMT=GMT+1
Hey, Sovrath, where was Richman's return on your timeline? :p
And just to stay on topic: good luck to those who entered (although the decision probably has been made by now :o )--wish I could've entered, but I forgot. :p
The Lineage® II Comic Contest has come to an end, and after much deliberation, the winners have been chosen! Congratulations to AleenaResron of Bartz, Kirsha of Lionna, Nanaho of Hindemith, and NeoJuliet of Bartz! Picking the winners for this contest was extremely difficult, and the voting was incredibly close due to the amount of fantastic entries we received (there was a difference of a mere 1 or 2 points between first, second, and a few of the runner-up entries).
Wed like to thank everyone who participated in this contest. Visit the L2 Fun (http://www.lineage2.com/minigames/index.html) section of the Lineage II web site to see their winning comics, as well as some honorable mentions!

What was the timeline you were guessing and were you wagering anything on it? If there was a wager... I get half! :)
I really liked the winning entries. The quest one, too me at first, felt long and drawn out... then I realized that is how the quest was to get the new class, so it all made sense with it being so drawn out.
The Boy Meets Kamael was fascinating. Awesome art and color job to it! Congrats!
