Why are most C and B grade materials that are spoilable, only spoilable from high level mobs?

Jae Hyuk Han
Items have their own levels internally. Monsters drop items that are either a little lower or a little higher than the levels. This is so players use items appropriately, for instance, the Level 5 Orcs will never drop Grade-A materials. Also, you may feel this way because high level monsters have a larger amount of compensation than lower level monsters.

Sooo...Metal Hardener from 75+ mobs is considered a "little" above its level? Obviously I missed the importance of C grade when you are in A grade or working on S grade. I'd love to be able to ask him for some clarification on this one. Anyone else think the answer fails to actually make sense as applied to the current situation?
well....................you see..............................um............... ...........its like this.........you kill stuff......... and you get stuff, alot if its not exactly useful and um, well, but you still get it, and um, see, thats neat cause you have it, but then when you get it and you sell it you can buy like 2 or 3 soulshots, maybe 4 then you can go hunt again
Yeah, at level 66, it is so appropriate to be getting drops for Doom and Avadon gear. Not!
Mr Jae didn't exactly explain it, but it's common to other mmogs, too.

In EQ, higher level characters supplied the weapons for lowbies. In WoW, from wailing caverns on up to the lvl 70 required instances, the gear that drops is for slightly lower level than can hunt there.

Lin2 stretches it out kinda far, I have to say. I got some top-D drops recently, which would have been great 20 levels ago, not when I'm gearing for B-grade. :p
It wouldnt be an issue if there was a MARKET for the items, but honestly, nobody crafts C grade weapons anymore. Mammon has removed the need to do so. I don't have as much an issue with B grade mats in your 60s, because thats within a relatively small range of levels.

Not crafting C-grd? Recently I crafted 2x Eminence Bow. Offcourse all cheap-[censored] buy a Dark Screamer at Lux-Shop and exchange it for a Homu or any other mid-C weapon at mammom but if you want top you really need to craft.
Nope, you need a lux weapon and AA for Top-C ;)
Yes you can upgrade to top from mammon, but its really common for people to craft their TOP C weapons, especially when its sub time.
I am watching a bot selling crystal dagger blades ,he went from ~250 down to ~100 in 4 days.
not worth crafting top C on gustin

That's about a dozen weapons, that seems like a bunch.

Myself, I was needing some duals and went lux shop, cuz all you see for sale is already enchanted or SAed. If I'd any hope of getting enough blades to craft one or both of the swords, I would have explored it. But ironically, it seems no one collects the parts for resale. I bet they all go to npc vendors. :(

But with mammon and the lux shop, it seems there's not a lot of room for profit to craft your own, but huge amounts of room to profit if you upgrade + SA + enchant.
You are not right. You can craft for 8-9mil worth of mats a crystal dagger swap to sls in mammon and there is ur top B with cost less than 20m.
Well, you can craft Top C weapons for about 6-7mil on Teon, sell for 13mil. Only problem is that the blades arent that common anymore T_T

yup
if you want to bother spending a week or 2 buying all the mats to craft that junk go right ahead
me personally i would shell out the extra couple of mil and spend my excess time reselling
Takes a couple of days... But meh, I rather craft B/A-grade stuff ^^
I would rather help collect stuff for the dwarfs in my clan to craft. :)
Metal hardener from level 80 mobs is Awesome.

Both Emi's I crafted costs me less then 8kk. Emi shafts are easy to spoil so you can get Dual SLS for 16kk which is a very nice price for a B-Grd weapon. If I bought a Dark Screamer at Lux Shop for roughly 7kk, I needed 2.2kk AA (1AA=2A), which would make my Emi 13kk which is the normal market price without all the running around and looking for Mammom. Rather save my AA for unsealing A-grd.
Easy to spoil if you're so low lvl... and with WS, it is kinda hard to spoil to begin with ;)
Having 3 friends which all have a spoiler and dont care to delevel to keep spoiling a certain mob lvl range is good for this kind of things. I am thinking about using a Sin Eater to stop me from gaining EXP while spoiling to keep spoiling Enria at a good rate =P

But as stated before, getting D-Grd mats on lv80 mobs aint bad. You always can find a use for it, eventually you need to craft something for your toon or sub and it's better to get this stuff for free then spending adena on it =)
