Thank you very much for pointing this out to us, that is apparently very old credit made long before my time at Stratics. I believe its referring to the parts of the old tools which has long since been replaced with something else, in fact no matter what its referring to, its been long since replaced, so its not even remotely valid. Its been removed and I'll try and get in contact with the origional team members to find out what exactly was up with this and what exactly was done with this.
And yes, we did indeed remove the lucrative google ads because of that, we were willing to take an economic hit to the network to not support those things for any of our games.
On a more personal note, yes, I do see Adena Sales, powerleveling and account sales (which is on the googleads) as much worse than some nude patch or whatever :p
And on another note, a simple email would have done, at least I gave L2 Vault the curtesy of that in regards to the adena ads multiple times, instead of making a drama starting thread.
I care... NCSoft doesn't seem to enforce their own rules that much, unless it makes them more money. In a business sense, they do what they need to. But in an ethical sense.... I think I've made my point.

yeah the overhaul of your site "right" just got overhauled over what was already there? How is that an overhaul? Of course you removed it. You don't want to be known as a hypocrit.
The major overhaul of the graphics of the site was done by Nelson a central staffer, he doesn't play L2, so he would have no idea what the heck it meant. The design didn't change the actual text, only the graphics/top layout.
Also if you note the bottom its pretty hard to read whatever is written down there and since we were only inspecting the design, not the actual text, we didn't notice it.
The other overhaul was major server upgrades, which would have nothing to do with the footer of the site.
I've never trashed any emails from you, the last email you sent to me was on August 22nd where you wanted me to contact you in regards to some french site who was copying both sites guides. We have yet to have time to deal with that (it would certainly help if we didn't have to deal with drama threads and other snide stuff).
In that regards you were also added to my MSN list, yet you haven't said the slightest about this to me, neither on MSN or Email.
There was an email before that on the 6th of September 2006, something about "lead and to be lead" thing.
Inbetween those, you've never sent me emails and I use gmail (even my stratics email is gmail) and it saves everything.
I won't even begin to start guessing the reason for stating these lies and attempts at character assassination. I just hope you're aren't doing these things in the capacity of a Vault staffer, that would be very sad.

Ok, so, let's acknowledge a certain level of bias from certain sides of this "discussion" and not stoop to the lowest common denominator here.
Stratics removed the notice and doesn't run google ads for adena selleres, That is the right thing to do and i want to make acknowledge that. Good move LC.
No one is perfect, things change, and adjustments are made on all sides to provide a quality community with helpful content.
Stratics and Elliebelly together and individually have and continue to work hard to provide useful content as does Vault and Warcry.

Well I don't particularly care about who thinks which fansite is better. I use all the info out there available to me.
I do have to say though as far as the vault goes aren't they part of the IGN network? It's probably not as easy to banquish as a site like stratics which is not a corporationy type thingy. Just a thought.
Before NC clears anyone else from the fan listing I think I'd prefer them use their time to ban adena sellers spamming me in game. I'm getting pretty sick of that lol...
I'm with you. I think that the more sites out there that have players involved the better for the rest of us.
Any site can overlook a mistake. When I joined my last clan there was a post that had been up for some time that bugged me (it suggested an exploit that I wouldn't appreciate). When I pm'd the clanleader the response was "thanks for pointing that out! We kind of forgot it was there".
I've always used one site for its quest guides (and found them excellent). I'm not a member of either (or any others) so I don't log onto them regularly.
I'd be surprised to learn one was 'better' than the other. Besides, even if a site has been sort of down for awhile, new attention and energy can bring about positive changes.
I remember when a Harley Davidson motorcycle was a piece of crap that had to have cardboard put under them in the showroom cause oil leaked out of them when they were brand new. Today it is easily the premier NA bike. All that changed was management.....(HD became employee owned)
Everyone should get a shot to do good work (though admittedly as a fanboy I tend to see the best in opportunities--lol). They should also get the benefit of the doubt and TIME to make improvements and changes.

On-topic: As someone who tries to help both sides (... if only Jay would actually use the siege reports for something, instead of asking to send them every time there's a "Monday Siege Reports" news item on L2Vault and then not doing anything .... ;)), I can only shake my head in disbelief at the viciousness of this discussion.
