Warsmith's class changing quests

I decided to write a guide that describes the class change quests from artisan to warsmith. Of course there are guides on the internet on how to do each of the quests individually. But the fastest way to do class change quests is to do them all in one shot after level 39. That is mainly because you often revisit the same places for different quests. This guide’s purpose is to describe how to do them in the most efficient way (time and money wise). Of course there maybe other ways to do it, but this seemed to me the most efficient. Needless to say, that the existence of a clan hall, can shorten the time or reduce the costs even more, due to cheap and fast teleports. I will refer to the quests by the level you get them (35, 37, 39). Before someone begins the quests, he must have: 100 animal skins, 7 steel, 70 varnish and 80 D-grade crystals. These are all needed at some point.

-You begin from Giran. Warehouse keepers Valkon and Parman assign you the 35 and 37 quests. You get your first dimensional diamonds. These can be exchanged at any Gate Keeper (GK) for a Scroll of Escape (SoE) to any specific town.
-Go to GK and port to Dwarf village. There you speak to Elder Lockrin to begin the 39 quest as well as advance the 37 one. Don’t talk to any other Elders for the 39 quest yet. I suggest doing first the 37 parts with the Elders, leaving Elder Arin last. He asks you to find Toma. He asks the same for 39, but it seems you can’t have them both active. What I did was: I waited Toma to appear on the north sore spot (the island). When he appeared, I talked to him for the 37, SoEd back, talk to Arin (finish the 37, begin 39 part). Then I ported to west mining zone, run to Toma and did the same for 1 more time. If you find him as soon as he arrives there, you have enough time to do it.
-After doing the Toma thing, you’ll have to talk to 2 more Elders (Balanki and Filaur) but it seems that if you take the part from one, you can’t take the part from the other, until you finish it. Take Balanki’s part first (you have go to Cave of trials). Either use direct port to Orc village->Cave of trials, or port to Schutgart->Crypts of Disgrace and run. When you finish the quest go back to Dwarf village. SoE to Orc village (or run back and SoE from Schutgart territory).
-Go back to Dwarf village, finish the Balanki part and take Filaur’s. Port to Dion.
-In Dion, speak to Guard Bright and do the Execution Grounds (EG) part (kill mandragoras). This is needed for both the 35 and the 37 quest. In this case I had no problem with both quests active. Go back to Dion and do the Cruma Marsh part for 37 and 39 (with Lorein). Go back to Dion, finish the Guard’s part and take the mark from his mother.
-Port to Talking Island (use diamonds). Speak with Altran (35) and Wilfford (37). When you finish, go to Gludin (ship or port).
-From Gludin, port to Orc barracks. Talk to Piotur (37) and then SoE to Gludin again. Speak with WH keeper Norman (35)
-Get to Gludio. Speak with Pinter (35). Do the ant nest part (35) and go back to Pinter. After that, port to Hunter’s village (HV). Use diamonds or port/run.

NOTICE: I used the Stratics guide. It doesn’t mention that by killing ants (ants, ant overseer, ant captains, and maybe more types) you get some amber lumps. Pinter gives you a recipe you can register in your craft book that can turn 1 amber lump in 5 amber beads thus needing less kills.

-Speak with Duning (35). Port back to Giran (HV->Hardin’s academy->SoE Giran). Go to Breka orc stronghold (35). All kind of orcs give the items. Go back to Giran. Speak with Parman (37). Go back to HV, speak with Duning again. Port to Gludin (diamonds).
-Speak with Norman (35). Go to Dion.
-Here you will do the last parts. EG (ghouls-strain, seekers, golems, 35). Plains of Dion (Silenos, 35). Cruma Tower (Nikola, 37). After finishing all of these, go to Gludin again (arghhh).
-Speak with Norman and make the 7 rings (now you are the Lord of the Rings!). Back to Giran.
-Speak with Valkon (35) and Parman (37). They give you the 1st and 2nd from the 3 final marks needed for class change. Last stop: Dwarf village.
-Speak there with Elder Filaur (39). Then speak with Elder Lockrin. He will give you the 3rd mark. If you haven’t quitted L2 by now (and you are level 40) you can finally become a Warsmith.

PS. If you find all this tiring, welcome to the club.
This is pretty much how I did it, nice little guide for hardcore players.

Few things to note:

- Try hitting level 40 first and upgrading to your C grade toys, this can make things a lot easier and quicker.
- Once you've finished your quests open your recipe book and delete the recipes which you added during the quest. It's not important, but you don't need them once you're done.
- If you can get a C grade pole and lots of healing potions you can do the ants nest part of the quest really fast by AoEing them. Get a healer friend to come along if you think it would make it easier.
- Do the quest over time otherwise you will get very bored. I think it can probably be done in one sitting of about 10 hours or less if you do it as outlined above, it's been a while since I did it so I'm just trying to recall. If you do them one at a time, expect to do it over a few days.
i coulda used that 1 week ago when i put my ws through academy :/

NOTICE: I used the Stratics guide. It doesn’t mention that by killing ants (ants, ant overseer, ant captains, and maybe more types) you get some amber lumps. Pinter gives you a recipe you can register in your craft book that can turn 1 amber lump in 5 amber beads thus needing less kills.

Really? I wrote the guides for Stratics for Guildsman, Prosperity and Searcher (BH quest) and I don't recall getting any amber lumps. Was it a rare drop? Maybe I did the wrong ants or something.
Nice all-in-one guide!
Ah, should have told you that, you get lumps when you're a warsmith and I think you have to combine them with a recipe you get. Could be wrong, my memory is kinda hazy, its been a while.
There was lumps when I did my WS quests back in the day.
Well all the quests for WS and BH are the same except the last ones. The quest that has the amber beads thing, is Prosperity which is the race specific dwarf quest, unless Maestro (WS only quest) has it as well. I only got beads during prosperity.
They're the same quest, they just behave slightly different according to wether its a warsmith and wether its a bounty hunter.
No kidding.. I've never seen a quest be "smart" like that.

and I assume you mean artisan or scavenger, as your classes haven't been chosen at the Prosperity level
Yea! I quested a BH and WS through all 4 quests at the same time - took me a while to figure out why my WS was getting them and not my BH. It's another sad day.
Interesting.. Ill update the quest with that. There was another quest I assume had to be "smart" race specific.. that return quest after you get the SOE Giran in a noob town, but it's not clever like that. Really threw me for a loop because I assumed it would know better.
well i done the quest like 2 weeks ago and i got amber lumps which i could craft into like 5 amber beads
pretty sure the rec was lvl 1 though so don't see why BH wouldnt get it as well
I think it may has to do with the fact that I was an artisan going to warsmith. The lumps were turned into beads using a reciepe I was given. I recall finding about 4-5 lumps. That means from the total 70 beads, 20-25 came from lumps. The ants I hunted were: Ants, ant overseer, ant captains (all of them have dark brown color). I also killed some red type ants (guards, patrols) but didn't get anything. The quest tells you to kill work ants. Maybe the red type ants are "warrior" type?
Very nice guide, i died like 5 times looking for the Chest in cruma, as stratics had it located on floor 2 >.<
The maestro one is still old korean c1 but we just got one today updated to interlude that I am putting up now :) All the rest are updated to the new chest locations.
i should have really done that guide for you since i noticed it was old school but i just wanted to get it over and done with so bad :(
Heh that's ok, there's a reason why almost all our class change guides were still Korean c1.. NO ONE wants to do them XD

I've personally redone 15 2nd class change guides.
