I wore avadon for a long time, because it was the best I could afford. Finally at 69 I got DC robes. Now that I have been going at it for a while I have finally this summer picked up my DC light set, that I use on my summoner sub/ Overlord for pve, which I am very glad I got. I use an Elysian +3 with health, and I am saving for a focus dagger of some kind to give a try, though I should really get an acumen weapon.
For solo A grade I'd go (fortunately I don't have to) -
BO + Focus + Tallum Heavy (Maj just looks better) + OOP SE buffs (and alacrity/GSAP potion)
For grup/mass -
DC robe + acumen weapon (I use CoN +10) (majestic robe set gives more mana, yes, but I find DC somewhat better) + shield
B grade:
BW robe + acumen weapon (mana up weapon is an option) + shield
BW heavy + focus dagger + as in A grade solo setup
Tatoos - + Wit/- Men, + Con/-Str (Dex is overrated)
I get parties, so I don't care for -4 Str. I mainly sleep and Winter/Root the mobs, HoP the clannies, no need to be a full-time DD.
Weapon - dagger or blunt.
At the moment blunt is my favourite due to (a) acumen, (b) nice m.atk boost, (c) better accuracy when You go melee (if soloing - disregard the (a) and (b), (c) is still a point but dagger has a way bigger dmg output).
tallum heavy is > dc light in pve, the only bonus to dc light is the mp regen.
The bonus to DC Light was that I had a DC helmet for my DC robes and I could not afford to get a Tallum helmet, so this was the easiest way to get a little better armor without having to spend as much. (and my subclass summoner can use the light armor and robes too, but couldn't use heavy)
I am torn between a soul seperator with critical damage and my elysian with health. The elysian has a higher pattk but doesn't crit as much. Elysian is fast, soul seperator is very fast for attack speed. Of course I can't stun but I don't do that too much anyhow. Thoughts?
