mage skills

Hi !

My debuff skills (like poison, silence, .. ) works fine on mobs.
But on player i can use only my nuke, if i try any debuff - it answers something about "Incorrect target", even i hit down CTRL key...
Whats problem ?

what does it mean ?

It means they need to have hit you (or someone else) first and have a purple (or red) name. Either that or you need to be on a battlefield.

Battlefields include Siege fields, the Olympiad, Arena's and Duels. You can't cast them on party members etc unless you hold control (in most cases).

As a general rule, any skillt that does not do any initial damage (bleed, slow, poison, decay, cancel, acc debuffs, hex, weakness, powerbreak, etc.) can not be cast on an unflaged player unless on a pvp battlefield. Any spell that does initial damage(freezing strike, sting, ice bolt, and damage skills) can be cast on anyone in a non peace zone by holding down ctrl and hitting the skill(or creating force skill macros).

Any AOE skill will only hit flagged players, even if it is a damage dealing aoe spell such as blazing circle, unless in a pvp battlefield(arena/siegefield)
