It seems AoE sweep is in the game but you just can't train it. Apparently it was on korean interlude PTS but never made it to live.
Any theories on why? It's easy to think maybe some glitch they werent able to iron out, but that sounds like a silly reason to keep it out for an entire chronicle.
figure some type of bug kept it out although sweep festival might be basically useless with the changes to aoe (except in nuker groups)
EDIT:if dorfs get lvl 79 skills before me it will be proof positive that NC favors dorfs over all other classes

I am totally against aoe sweep. A good dwarf learns how to sweep in aoe groups. That is what separates the good aoe dwarves from the bad ones.
Many times I have been in group with another BH and they always comment on how I sweep everything before they get their first.
Basically if you aren't the main pole (which you never should be) once mobs start droping your job quickly changes to sweeping. Another plus side is you safe on SS and no one gives a [censored] :)

OMG I couldn't agree with you more. I'm a WS and a sweep better than most of the BH in my clan/ally. I can get off a sweep and be on the next target before the BH's even know i swept.
Riddle me this then for my new level 40 BH. Whats the trick when your training group mobs on your own. (IE: 1 x2 mod with 2-4 standards). I have yet to learn the tricks to targeting those dead ones...

If you are not the main poler good for you, but don't be so selfish and think about BH that are main poler and the only sweeper ...
And even if most of the time I can be main pole & sweep near all mobs in place like necro/cata.
Go try to aoe in place like fog, darkness room or such place and tell me if you can be main pole/only sweeper without a mass sweep.
I never had probelm to sweep before I was a FS, but now on very high level spot it's not possible anymore and that sucks.

It's more when you have maybe 3-4 polers beating down 40-50 mobs that I could see sweeping becoming a problem. People and mobs standing on the corpses, blue corpses intersecting with 5 others.
Let alone if you end up doing x0.5 hp mobs like in abg or whatever where you can basically pull the entire place and they all die in 3 specials. I can't imagine it being ezpz to sweep everything before the corpses despawn, there.
AoE sweep doesn't have anything to do with xp, though, and multi-hp mobs won't be as viable in CT1 come the VR nerf as a titan can't tank all of fog by himself any more.
I'm still pulling ~30% a day in abg at lvl71, it's still my best option without VR.
Anyway. The point I was trying to make was that I can't imagine any amount of skill and experience will let you sweep absolutely everything when there are 60 mobs all intersecting eachother while also contributing fully to damage. I understand that you can sweep better if you have a clue (as a warsmith I obviously swept a lot), but I'm talking about the cases where you physically cannot click certain corpses because they are lying inside another or under a player/mob.
Why are you the main pole in places like FOG and Darkness?
I would leave that group next time.
I have leveled in both places and sweeping can be done, you just can't and shouldn't be the main pole.
Tell them if they want you to sweep they should have a destroyer and warlord to party with as well.
I m the main poler because I m the highiest level and once I start hiting and spoiling I got the agro. (and btw I don't have warlord in my ally and just a few destro ... such a pity)
So I have to do all the work.
Anyway with the VR nerf, I will have no more trouble to sweep all the mobs.
the best exp isn't in ab. high hp mobs are the way to go for polers : )
That isn't the point and not everyone poles for xp.
Spoilers pole also to make cash. I've become quite good at switching targets while poling and healing all by my lonesome. Pretty uber cash in CoB first rooms.
The nerf is only suppose to stop the destroyers. I will still aoe FOG and Darkness but the healers might have to heal once in a while :)
can you explain this a little more please? how is this only to effect Destroyers and not all AOE classes? VR works the same for all of us. The primary purpose of it is to slow the need for heals by returning X amount of HP per hit. As far as I know it works the same for all classes.

ok well destroyers have this thing called frenzy. Later in the game they are able to use it almost none stop.
In these high lvl areas they are able to aoe these spot when originally they were meant for a full active group. Because of their insane dps and the effect vr has on them.
Plus if you are in a good aoe group the healers almost never have to never heal, so if you reduce the effect vr has on dps it shouldn't effect aoe.
if you are puling like 4 dozen mobs, you can still get like a good couple dozen spoils. don't be a greedy fred!!!. you can get another 4 dozen mobs in a couple minutes. then spoil again. jeez. you don't have to sweep 100% if you are puling at a rate of 1000 mph (mobs per hour).
and to the new dwarf. I like to rotate my view so that I am looking as directly above them as much as I can. Shifting it around so that the names spread out as much as possible. also, I either shift through the mobs finding the one with the least amount of hp. Or, if there is like a tyrant or archer, or like a BD who has no pole, I assist off of them and get ready to hit the sweep hotkey.
When destroyers Frenzy, their P Attk. goes to something completely ******ed. so if you can time it right. you can basically bring as many mobs as how ever many rabbits you have can bring. and the destroyer will take aggro. the VR will be so high that he will only die if he is extremely unlucky, or the mob alignment is super messed up. Then the party enjoys XP-a-palooza (sorry Perry)
Nahh Kandle is with me on Hinde. MoS/Cata are no problem tank, spoil, sweep, heal for me. When you get to FoG spoiling for a Destro I just get what I can.
Well, of course spoiling for someone else is easy w/e the spot you go. Tanking and spoiling in cata/necro on big pull is not that hard.
But tanking and spoiling in FoG or Darkness is not allways so easy.
May be it s my fault to not play with other high level poler but my clan/ally don't have them.
So yes I d like to have a mass sweep in those situation.
PS: lol I just read that was supposed to be a 79 skill. I ding it 4 days ago. May be that s why Fortune Seeker don't have skill at 79...
I just contact the support for more information about mass sweep. Answer was really fast but no details at all like usual.
I wonder why support exist in L2 sometimes :)

Hi,
When Interlude was on PTS in Corea, Fortune Seeker had a level 79 skill "Festival
Sweep" but it was withdraw for some reason.
I have myself a 79 Fortune Seeker and obviously no skill to learn at 79.
Can I hope to have the mass sweep skill one day ?

I do a lot of solo AOE where I rely on dropped pots to regen HP & MP. Having to pick up those pots precludes me from being able to quickly target spoiled mobs. I basically have a choice between the loot or the pots... there's not enough time for both. For this scenario, which is almost a daily thing for me, I'd love some sort of mass sweep skill.
