What's your server like

I'm seriously getting bored to death of my own server. I considering changing (yes I know crazy woman) and don't know where to.

I'm English speaking, from UK and would actually like to do some raids for once.

What's the general opinion of the servers.

My current one is Gustin btw.
Come to Kain, we have Hot Tubs and Spas!
If you live in Europe, your going to be hard pressed to NOT pick Teon or Franz.

They have times scheduled to yours, more players play at the same time as you, etc...

No servers have the concentrated euro presence like those two do.
Come to Seighardt and start a donut shop ....

Seriously, it's a good server, and I like it. But I know a couple of players that left and ended up on Bartz - they wanted a server with more players. I have not checked with them to see if they are happy there ..
or wait for the server transfers we'll get at CT1 release in December..

I know exactly what you mean...
Well I'm slowly building my personal army of noob characters on Hindemith, lots of people from Europe play there. But I can't say if everyone won't move to Teon or Franz, considering playing times and pings and such.
I see alot of ppl from europe on bartz (met some ppl from the uk as well)

Since i started on bartz awhile ago i think the number of players overall has gone up even tho our traffic light is usually yellow or blue now. Im sure you no what that means ^_~

I would pick teon or bartz not sure about franz met alot of ppl that didnt like it.

Should get off the low pop servers tho if u can when char transfers come around our afk friends will prob all move to less populated servers so they can do whatever they do in peace =) Of course this means less of them on the populated servers ^_^

If ur not planning on transfering with anyone i would reroll to meet ppl along the way when u lvl just transfer a char so ull have adena to spend XD
My clan is a euro clan (bartz).(admeraljou is in it)

I really enjoy it, but they are a high lvl clan. and if your not atlest 61 you wont have a chance to join, the normal lvl requirment is 70+. however I'm sure I could get you into our academy..and we have a hall in giran.

I also have alot of contacts in Heroicdesire, which currently still own FoR hall in dion. both clans would be good to get into their academy's.

I'd say try to stay away from a low pop server, you will regret it in the long run. Specially with transfers coming up soon. Just try to find a server which you like the community.
teon
Hindemith = no 1 clan > all, low lag, not as many bots as some servers, partying at low as well as high levels = good. And yes, I've seen plenty of Euro players here, but if you want a server geared more for Europe you still might want to try teon or franz.

Brimsker
i would pick euro server.
but my personal choice was guided by friends that were already at Hindemith - the server that seems pretty much alive to me.

i think the problem might not be in the server but rather in the clan. if we have 20+ ppl online everytime and can build parties, i don't care about how the rest of server is. if the priority is joining the raid - then you can do with active living alliance. 3-4 active clans can do most raids. (if we are talking about regular raids, not valakas&co. ;) )
3 clans can do the big ones too ;) Just depends on the clan size.

Teon has 2 BIG sides battling eacher other, but there's plenty of other wars going too. And if you're looking for raids, well, both the normal bosses and the big bad bosses get killed ;)

There's plenty of English speaking clans and players in general and our times would fit you the best alongside Franz.
Take euro timezone servers if you dont want sleep problems when you start to play the game hc. I used to play oly every weekend; but after a few months its hard to keep being awake till 5-6am every time..
Lionna's fairly interesting, with a long-standing powerhouse clan/ally seemingly entering the twilight of their rule, possibly taking steps to court favor with other clans in order to maintain their hold. Of course, many of these same clans currently being wooed (or so it may seem) are the same clans held under the boot of this alliance in previous times.

How short memories can be, neh?

Then, of course, on the other side there's a fairly stable core of people fighting the other side, with a rotating cast of support clans, allies and other clans moving into and out of the conflict.

Somewhere in the middle is the majority of the server, the so-called "Neutrals", who are really anything but neutral, they're simply not directly aligned to one faction or the other. These clans can be untagged allies of one faction or the other, RP clans, up-and-coming clans, alt-clans, farmer clans, ethnic/national clans, whatever.

Things sometimes get quiet for awhile, which is the indication that someone needs to come along and poke the anthill, either in game or here on the forums, to kickstart the drama. Popcorn is optional.
Come to Kain.

(we have punch and pie)
I don't know that I'd classify Lionna as "interesting". It's been the same thing over and over again since the beginning of C2.

Two-sided, one more dominant through the prolific use of "other" methods of play. (Not that the other side doesn't use those methods, just that the one side always seemed to be the first to use them, first to discover bugs, etc.) Not happy with having competition, they want to squash the competition by doing things like botting the no-limit festival or powerleveling a character from 75 to subclass then hero in 3 days.

Basically the entire time it's been the same old story - Side A rules the server, tick off people who join together to make Side B, despite the fact that they hate each other almost as much as they hate Side A. Struggle ensues. Side B comes out on top for a short time (during which time Side A is playing the propaganda card w/ the neutrals) then falls apart because they all hate each other, allowing Side A and their new zerg to take over again.

This was interesting, maybe up until C4, but now it's just getting old. Same people fighting the same people, all the time. For a short time the sides mixed up and things were different, but now we're back to the same 'ol, same 'ol. Hence, most of my clan already rerolled on Bartz.
Well since your from the UK I would advise you to chose a Euro server. Im sure alot of euro people play on US servers but the majority is on Teon and Franz, and I bet when character transfers start, alot of euros will move to those 2 servers. Why those 2? low ping for euros and massive population compared to all the other servers apart from Bartz.

Since im from Franz I wanna try and tell you that Franz is better then Teon, but both servers are good tbh, just pick the one you want.

If you are interested in politics, Lionna is rather interesting.
Wait for the transfers and hop to Teon or Franz. I'd recommend Teon :P
If you want the ping and lag to be nice go Teon, there server is the post populated of the bunch and very active.

Bartz is very good too if you didnt have a bad ping on gustin.

Reread my post - it WAS interesting up till like C4, but we've cycled through the same thing so many times, it's not anymore. There might be different players, different clan names but it's still essentially the same two sides as it was in C2.

This was interesting, maybe up until C4, but now it's just getting old.

I think this sums up L2 in general. It was interesting up to C4, but now it's just old.

/Agreed.
